RTB Posted October 26, 2005 CID Share Posted October 26, 2005 do you care to explain what that exactly means ? you have a seperate set of ram for benchmarks....thats really unrealistic....ill have to pull a flag on ur setup It's a lovely system (ME WANTS IT.), but certainly not impossible. The fact that he runs with two seperate sets of ram isn't that special either. hulioni: Benchmarks dude, we need benchmark results!

JustinOhioRR Posted October 26, 2005 CID Share Posted October 26, 2005 AMD64 is way fast. I have a socket 754, but my next rig will definitely have 939 pin architecture. I try to build a new rig or update my current one every year. I'm going for a complete overhaul from the ground up this time. Sometime in 2006, I think I'll be going with one of these: AMD Athlon

RTB Posted October 27, 2005 CID Share Posted October 27, 2005 hulioni: That'll do. I'm curious about your benching ram, it seems to be running a tad slow compared to the rest of your system. Got a bad batch or something?
hulioni Posted October 27, 2005 CID Share Posted October 27, 2005 hulioni: That'll do. I'm curious about your benching ram, it seems to be running a tad slow compared to the rest of your system. Got a bad batch or something? Well the tests were done with the new 6.70 motherboard drivers that just came out. You are correct that those scores are low (lowest I've seen). I am hoping that it is just a bad install. The last time I tested it was around 3300 write and 7300 read. Gives me something to do I guess. As for the ram itself, its OCZ PC 3200 Gold Edition VX 1 gig Dual Channel Kit. Any ideas?
