metalfanxxx Posted December 26, 2005 CID Share Posted December 26, 2005 What's the best web browser to use? Do different web browsers make your dsl speeds decreace or increase? currenty i'm running firefox.
wbdutch Posted December 26, 2005 CID Share Posted December 26, 2005 I find that Firefox gives me a MUCH higer speed reading than IE. FF has me running over 70% faster than the average for Comcast cable, whereas IE has me running only at 90% of Comcast's average speed. So, what's the real speed? Beats me! php Posted December 26, 2005 CID Share Posted December 26, 2005 IE6 doesn't even work on my computer... nor IE7. I use Firefox for the most part, Maxthon on occasion if a site only supports IE.

Blunted 2 Posted December 26, 2005 CID Share Posted December 26, 2005 i tried opera and dont like it and i think its slower than firefox unless there is some tweaking you can do to it like firefox.
Decade Posted December 26, 2005 CID Share Posted December 26, 2005 For me With Satellite internet IE or any other IE based browser. Also Opera works equally as good and fast as IE. I loved Firefox and used it with dialup (it was much faster than anything with dialup) but it seems slower and I get slower download speeds with Firefox.
