Im suppose to get 6Mbps down 800Kbps up..Could the speed burst feature cause this? Here is another score from a different speed test site
  6. Im 21 and will be 22 in May
  7. ATI cards are ok but the drivers for those cards are bad..I always had problems with the drivers I prefer to have nvidia cards (7800 GT is what I have right now)

  9. pretty much what I was trying to say is that...They will try to charge you for how long you had the service..You wont get in trouble for it unless you refuse to pay. No matter if you play dumb and said "I thought I just had to buy the modem and plug it in". They will still charge you regardless.
  10. Since they can track connection usage they can tell how long there was connection and charge you on the next bill...if you refuse to pay then you get in trouble..Even if you play dumb they will still charge you
  11. well I fixed it I just did a system restore lol
  12. Here is my problem.... Im over my friends house. He has a network called Digial (workgroup)...Also he has 5 of his harddrives being shared.. Also I have 4 drives on my computer being shared..Here is the problem. I can't seem to connect to his computer to even see his drives. We are using a router which is connected to the internet. The internet works and the router sees me. Now I can connect to myself but I can't connect to any of my folders. They say access denied....Not sure whats wrong. I did all the easy troubleshoots that I can think of Reset router Change router port turn off Firewall reconnect the cable use different cable use different network card turn off software firewall restart computer more then 50 times change work group Try ping each other (which works for both of us) Help plz
  13. Try Wireless N for really fast speeds
  14. There is life on other planets......it seems a big waste of space if there isn't any
  15. I would say you will need 1.5 gigs of ram and a 2GHz + CPU to run the OS ok I will never run Vista on a 800MHz computer.....I wont run XP on a 800MHz computer
  16. Running Vista on 512 megs of ram is like running XP on 128 megs of ram.
  17. So these planets are 41 ly away..thats far base on our planet but isn't really far in space. NASA has found planets that are over 200 ly away. The Milky Way spands out 100 ly. 1 ly = 93 Trillion miles
  18. Thats really cool but I think my 3GHz Pentium D 830 is fast enough for what I do...Even for games it runs fine So wait is that a stable speed for the P4? and also what cooling device is that Processor using? I will like to mention that there isn't any 64bit games yet.
  19. Then thats it....you are connected to a different line that goes to Comcas line
  20. My guess is that where he lives he isn't near a Comcas line...so maybe Comcas made a hub using a different line (calling it 64.231) that connects to the comcas line
  21. idk why but you aren't the only one If your speed is what it should be you shouldn't worry about that
