  1. i've got the 8Meg/.75Meg line... it's pretty decent, I still need more upload though... I'd be happy with 8Meg/2Meg u know?
  2. gut wrenching speeds..I used to pay as much for 1.24Mb/s x 256Kb/s
  3. If it's not in your area, (no clue where u live) January 3rd, Comcast highspeed cable goes like so: Standard Teir: 8Meg/sec download 879Kb/s Upload (3/4th Meg/sec) $39.95 per month Gaming Teir: 10Meg/sec download 1.24Meg/sec upload $49.95 per month Business Teir: 10Meg/sec download 4Meg/sec upload $99.99 per month Test Market: 25Meg/sec download 15Meg/sec upload $199.99 per month Motorola SurfBoard 5120b Modem Rental all Teirs $4.95 per month taxes ~^$5.95 per month SO, this isn't in concrete, and isn't public knowledge, I'm relying on SWIM that works for comcast. Verizon has completed a PORTION of it's fully fiber optic network in knoxville, ALL of the Farragutt area that's a part of its "Rollout market". Now, I have a family member that lives in this area, He has a Fully FIber Optic Connection, even a SUPPLIED FiberOptic Gigabit Ethernet card.. I uploaded the entirety of Morrowind: ELder Scrolls III in 3 MINUTES, the game package is a gig and a half.. I mean dude. THAT IS INSANE. He does some kinda work on the Nuetron Spalation Plant, Firing Nuetrons at each other trying to figure out the "Big Bang" theory....... whatever, they send and recieve .mcz's (very large animated renderings of particle bursts and plasma streams on the NUCLEIC level, beyond atom small, as in PARTS of the atom and RESIDUE from the plasma Smaller then the parts of the smallest atoms. Files that are between 5 and 25gigabytes each. I wanna set up a counter strike and dod SOURCE server on that sh!t. I could probably run ten or twenty servers, it's beyond oceanic cable speeds. He won't let me install steam and DoD: Source to at LEAST try out a VERY LARGE listen server, MUCH LESS sneaking a HLDS in there!!! that's what i NEED to do, sneak an HLDS install, and get some GOOD remote server software, make sure I have a HIDDEN and encrypted shell account. Make a Hidden/encrypted partition , maybe 5 gigs, for 6 HLDS's, ASSUMING the hardware could handle it. SO, thats my fitty cent.
  4. it's all over knoxville/oakridge TN cheap n fast
  5. hackers keep the world interesting though. I have to give them that, and that's grouping the whole "lot" into ONE term. I mean all of em phreekers, hackers, crackers, haxorz etc etc etc
  6. I hear hacker, I think of several types of people. The cracker, that cracks software, cdkeys, accounts, etc. and the hacker. people that grab you by the /chmod and yank yer :#root. then, video game hackers, console crackers. mp3 pirates. Warez barons. irc botnet script kiddies/croons. I'm guilty of using hacks in CS 1.6. UnrealTourney. etc. OpenGL wallhacks, aimbots, no recoil, see thru/aim thru walls, and much more. But that ruined a few wonids/steam accounts. I no longer violate my EULA, molest maybe, but not violate. What genre/type of hacker are u refering too... phreakers r skilled. figuring out the weenie whiste blows at a tone of 1200baud.
  7. get access to a linux machine and nmap you network, you probably have a LOT of aarpi traffic, and a sick trojan or botnet. wow, reformat time for you!
  8. DoD:Source is much more team oriented, grenade damage is a tighter radius, the "stun" effects are GREAT. The Stg44 is awesome with single shot, using the iron sites is kinda lamed, i prefered the "rifle butt" secondary attack, it was a GREAT sound to smash skulls with an autokar98, it's great, i have a geforce2mx/mx400 and it runs @55fps in lots of action, wich is fine for me, my cousin, he has a geforce4ti and it looks great, radeon 9250's plus do better with AA and AF, im using trilinear filtering and isotropic, i'd rather be using AntiAliasing and AliFiltering. My pc is a 1200 amd, 512MB ddr, not bad, but definitely aged. they still have that hunkered cs:s monkey looking mode to the player's though, i don't like that. take care!
  9. water, shelter, food, basic necesseties of life, if you die coz you're ebay delivery shows up later then it supposed to, you suck, if you die coz there is no electricity for 4 days, you suck, if you die coz you can't drink bottled water, you suck. as far as shelter, if u don't already have a home, underpasses work great.
  10. factor in your ISP and you coulda had a top model.

  16. also, other then a upload, since u on comcast 6/768, u using a motoral SB5120? do any tweeks? router? and an upload would be cool. peace
  17. u have to admit, y2k did pose an issue, it was simply an annoyance, not the end of the world, as im sure this time change will be, nothing but an annoyance.
  18. Swimmer is right, these crap legacy systems will bunk up ordering/shipping/datestamping. I'm just used to doing IT for business's that have money, and use newerish equipment. Not every business/company is a startup using crap equip. BUT for those using legacy systems, i see that being a main point of problem. Otherwise, just bump your date/time back to normal.
  19. i tried some Eudora conduits with no success browser wise, Eudora Mail conduits work great.
