no. dsl = based on pots. 1 pair = 2 wires. t1 2 pair, 4 wires. and a whole different deal in your building. you need a rack of gear to split it into the 24 voice channels or to get the 1.5/1.5 or whatever combo you choose to use.

the thing with a t1 is that they take 4 wires to your house and then have to set up equipment at the telco switch and in your house.

you will want the gig of ram. look over all the vendors special offers before buying (dell gateway hp and the locals ads, as well as maybe tiger newegg etc. some are bound to have a good special, and you will want a bundle deal because you decided to buy your software.

to point 4 it could be taking a long time analyzing files quarantied with s&d. the restarts could be a temperature or power supply issue. have you checked to make sure all the fans are running? specially cpu?

well, like i said. you should ask those that have done it or their experiences.

you would have to look at how much load/traffic the game itself and the teamspeak generate. if the sum of the two lets the thing still tick over comfortably you're good. if the sum of the parts gets near the capacity of 1 machine, you're risking peaks over your capacity. that's what common sense tells me. i think your best bet is to find other server ops in the cs community (there must be such a thing) and get their experiences concerning cpu load/bandwidth requirements.

ah, the p2p problem. i have a way to steal from comcast so why shouldn't i, they are just a company. well maybe because comcast pays for the sum of the traffic generated by its users and calculates it into the price they charge. if less people pay for their traffic the users that do pay have to pay more. it's the shoplifting phenomenon, simply put. that is why if i see somebody stealing from a store i report him, because he is stealing from me. (happened twice, once the guy learned i am an offensive lineman, hehehe.) the other thing is why do you think it's ok for you to loose a line someone hooked you up with. you personally know for certain that they have no 300 dollar once then free plan. so it is something the tech is doing on his own time, using his position on the company to pilfer their system. that makes it fraud on your side because you are using a comcast connection without paying for it. again, the longer you don't get caught, the worse the penalty. and don't think telling the jury but i had no idea it was illegal. they aren't stupid.

the 128 k dialup is actually isdn with the two b channels (64k each) bundled. and hooking up any number of network cards to the router won't do you any good as long as the router is going through the one modem. the modem gives you x amount of speed that y amount of devices behind the router have to share and share alike.
