  1. okay I left it at the motherboard logo screen and took a walk and came back and it was in windows so now its working it just takes a very long time at the logo screen before it goes into windows. Why does it do this?
  2. no the time is correct, i'll try and find a bios update
  3. I had a power surge a few days ago and my computer was on so it instantly shut down but now when i try and start it up it only makes to the motherboard logo screen where it gives you option to go to bios or post screen, etc. But when i clear the cmos i am able to go all the way to windows and the computer works like normal but if i do shut it down it will do the same thing again unless i clear cmos. BTW i got a amd x2 4200 gigabyte ga-m61p-s3 2gigs kingston value ram
  4. why not just overclock it, i am able to get my 4000 to 2.8ghz which is fx-62 speeds
  5. dont worry i ended up restoring it back to the old drivers and now 3 out of the 5 speakers work
  6. No it has to be driver related because when i had xp, i was able to use all of them just fine, with the same computer. BTW the onboard soundcard has six jacks. I am beginning to think vista wasnt worth it.
  7. no that actually made it worse, because now i have zero sound and it is configured as a digital output device and its saying there are no speakers connected.
  8. speakers are logitech x-530 and the sound card is realtek HD audio.
  9. I have a 5.1 logitech speaker setup, and whenever i try and connect the first set of speakers a dialog comes up asking which speaker this is and i choose front left and right(which is right) but when i choose that option it automatically switches to digital output(i dont have digital speakers) so the only way i can get the speakers to work is to set the first two speakers as line in. In that case all the other speakers work except for the first two ones becuase they are set as line in. BTW i only have this problem with vista and not with xp.
  10. I need a program to convert a UIF file to a iso so i can burn it to a dvd.
  11. my snes was working up until a month ago unfourtanetely
  12. i was downgraded from 1.5 to 768 because the 1.5 package was "too fast for my line" which is just some bs. I know how you feel

  15. Tried to keep the voltage as low as possible. Overvolted to 1.30v, and oc'd to 2600MHz. Very cool stable as you can see and under full load only reached mid 40's. The highest i could take was 2.84 but I didnt want to overvolt that much(1.375V) BTW stock hsf and kingston value ram
  16. He is nine years old and i just gave him my old computer, dont want him vistiting any questionable sites. He uses FF
  17. no not all, the core 2 duo's are capable of overclocking way beyond there limits. here is a guide to get familiar with overclocking cpu's http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/newbie-oc-guide.html
  18. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128012(very good motherboard, i have the amd version) 109.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115015 (overclocks like a beast) 165.50 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102067(fast enough) 167.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227178 128.00 better off spending more for the motherboard becuase it is the most important part of the comp, and less for the processor becuase you can overclock it way past factory settings. comes out to about 571$
