VanBuren is right ...people that do that kind of stuff are really idiots in my book and maybe flogging is better than banning........The way its done is with the code thats being applied....like always if your good at code you can do anything you want ............ to me whats really sad is anyone that is that good would be better served doing something helpful for people instead of scaming.....I wont say where but that particular program is available to anyone.....Its another reason why lots of people are against open source for everything especially the stuff that belongs to Bill Gates........... Yep .......most people will see a "burst" speed when a file is starting to be downloaded and this is typical of all connections even dial-up.....if only the "burst" speed could be maintained through the whole download that would be sick......my speed is faster at the end of the download because of my RWIN setting, and really its pretty even through the whole file transfer it only goes up a little....it seems to work best for me set this way......it is cool that you have taken the interest to exam whats going on with your connection thats really how most people have learned how this stuff really works....have fun:) Microwave

Yep cool movie and I had fast speed downloading ,but the movie also played in Windows media player, great editing job for first time was very clean,,,ok waiting for the sequel or prequel.....lol Microwave

If I remember correctly there has always been a law that a 56k dial-up is capped at 48k I believe some B.S. that it would cause static or some such nonsense on C.O. lines if it went to max(56K)....it always makes me feel better when the Feds are looking out for my best interest....that being said in the old days there was a way to tweak a 56k but for what reason I'll never know it was only a slight improvement and meant big trouble if you got busted...sorry but if I had to use dial-up if I didn't kill myself Im sure at least I'd freak....... Actually my connection or really the way I have my P.C. setup my test are the same as yours.....my speeds are faster on large files.Typically if Im downloading something my speed is much higher toward the end of the file than at the begining.... Im not sure if this is the right or wrong way to set it up,only that my computer seems to work best like this, Im more concerned with how fast pages load and this again seems to work best for me....good luck and have fun:) Microwave

Thats the value I have always used but if I try using a tweak tool it always suggest that I raise my RWIN up to as much as 256,960 but is actualy makes my connection slower. All computers and connections work a little different, thats why its important to test different values and see what works best for you..I also always try and keep a good copy of my registry so if need be I can roll back....
