As far as I know, it simply means you are getting a low signal strength. Like through a storm or something. Mine seldom does that. Except during something like that. Hows the weather at those times?

You remind me too much of my old man. He is an old hillbilly. ( not in a bad way). Just he does things his way. Not necessarily the modern way. And always with a dry humor as I call it. Sometimes if I pay attention, I will be laughing my buttt off.

If DSL were to finish it to my house. Certainly. The kids live in a whole new world. And it is my job to be educated to my best, so I may teach them all I can. Old and new. And soon they will need internet on their comp uspstairs. So with what little I have down here. It will be welcomed. And cheaper. It is only .2 of a mile away. I checked it the other night. Now if were just me and the misses. Nah. I would be fine, just like you.

My apologizies if we insulted you in anyway. We do hash dogs to death. But I was with you all the way. I am assuming this is good news you just reported. If so, thanks gooodness. And I still think they did you mom wrong.

Not quoting, just curious. That is how nice things are found. Thanks Spook. -
I hope not grandpa. Just be careful. My fear of personal breakage tells me when to slow down.

SOme of those are not old. I still do some of them. We still catch lightning bugs in ajar. The youngest lets me know when they are loose in the yard, and brings me a jar. Christmas morning of course. Prayers not as much as I would like. My fault. We still do the kool-aid, when I push the wife hard enough. Cheaper and better. The kids enjoy making it. " I wanna stir" My daughters still jump at the chance to help me or my wife. At almost anything. (5 and 7 for those who do not know.) And they still do this. "Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-mo" But aI think there is a longer version now. Go figure it would get added on to by now. They still want horsy back rides to bed and upstairs. Kite flying is still a big thrill in March. They enjoy watching me climb through a cherry tree to get the cherries before the birds. And then deseeding 5 gallons of cherries just to make 2 or 3 pies. And then they say it is the best they have ever eaten anywhere. Picking apples and pears to eat fresh off of the tree. (3 pear trees, and a green apple, and 2 red apple tree's and one cherry ) Riding bikes down the street with me. Watching everything they are into. Activities. And later talking about all the pics I took. And then wanting to see the old ones too. Making their room so they can go to DQ for a treat. The winner only. I get special time that way, one on one. Sometimes I feel guilty. Just tonight I counted the stickers on their calenders of last year. The oldest got over 200. The youngest got over 100. One for the bed, the second for clean room also. They do make me proud everyday. Just the 2 of them having a slumber party. They do fight, but honestly, they love each other more. *tears* god I enjoy my kids. Yes I added a few. Because I can and do. I guess I am saying "We are the memory makers".

Oh, I'm not finished yet.... Kool-Aid was the drink of the summer and So was a swig from the hose Giving your friends a ride on your handlebars Wearing your new shoes on the first day of school Class Field Trips with soggy sandwiches When nearly everyone's mom was at home when the kids got there When a quarter seemed like a fair allowance; and another quarter a MIRACLE When ANY parent could discipline ANY kid, or feed him, or use him to carry groceries...And nobody, not even the kid, thought a thing of it. When your parents took you to McDonalds and you were COOL When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to the fate that awaited you at home. Basically, we were in fear for our lives but it wasn't because of drive by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! And some of us are still afraid of em! Didn't that feel good? Just to go back and say, "Yeah, I remember that!" Well, let's keep going!! Let's go back to the time when... Decisions were made by going "eeny-meeny-miney-mo" Mistakes were corrected by simply exclaiming, "do over!" "Race issues" meant arguing about who ran the fastest. Money issues were handled by whoever was the banker in "monopoly" Catching fireflies could happily occupy an entire evening It wasn't odd to have two or three "best" friends. Being old, referred to anyone over 20. (CRAP! I'm officially old!) The worst thing you could catch from the opposite sex was cooties. Nobody was prettier than Mom Scrapes and bruises were kissed by mom or grandma and made better It was a big deal to finally be tall enough to ride the "big people" rides at the amusement park. Getting a foot of snow was a dream come true. Abilities were discovered because of a "double-dog-dare" Spinning around, getting dizzy and falling down was cause for giggles. The worst embarrassment was being picked last for a team. Water balloons were the ultimate, ultimate weapon. Older siblings were your worst tormentors, but also your fiercest protector If you can remember most or all of these, then you have LIVED!!! Pass this on to anyone who may need a break from their "grown up" life......I TRIPLE DOG DARE YA!!!!!!

The great thing about wood stoves. You don't worry too much about the bill. If it gets too hot open up the door. Really about all you can do. And there really is no waste. It will cool down when it gets good and ready. Of course it will not be that warm in the morning when the eyes open up.

Gotta admit, that one sounds hilarious. But, I guess you already guessed, I missed that one too. But if folks would just learn respect for everything the way they used to. My kids are learning it from me. The only problem I will also need to teach them what to do with folks that have no respect. And that is a shame to have to.
