Sometimes when they shove too much through too small of a whole it won't be stable. So 5/2 is probably the best you can run on the equipment they have to your house right now. Welcome to he forum g0moz What are your advertised speeds? And what type of connection do you have? DSL, cable,etc... Post a speed test.

Actually I have no fear of building one. I just figure if the cost is about the same ( I do only surf for the most part, or e-mail) why bother. And I have no mistakes to make that way. It works or else. I don't have need of a special one at the moment. Really what I NEED is a faster connection. No computer can change that. I can always upgrade it no prob. But I like buy, plug, and play.
