IE7 Drag links or whatever on to my screen. HELP ! !
tommie gorman replied to tommie gorman's topic in HELP!
You did not do it right. But inaddvertantly you just fixed it. I now have to drag the one you mentioned instead. The one in IE6 was the one in the very farthest top and left corner. The one in the colored bar edging. Yeah, a trick I picked up on. You would be suprised how many thing you can drag places. I actually got that trick from a video game once. :haha: Of all places. And again thanks Mtal1ca, you have saved my IE7 from getting trashed. I will be able to play with it a little longer now. I just noticed that it gives you better looking icons for the different sites, instead of just a boring "e" for all of them. I am starting to like IE7. -
I got there's some time ago. Try the incredimail bounce. It works great. Other than that it is just normal junkmail SPAM.

We should have a self help section. Where posts go that the person helped their self. Glad you got it fixed.

IE7 Drag links or whatever on to my screen. HELP ! !
tommie gorman replied to tommie gorman's topic in HELP!
So does anybody have any other ideas I would like to know of a way to keep it and use it in much the same way. Thanks again. If possible. Or is this feature gone Maybe? -
My best answer would be I have everything disabled in start up (msconfig), except my AVG anti-spyware and anti-virus, and Windows defender. All that means is that everything else will not be running in the background. But it will start immediately up when prompted. Never did know why the other stuff thinks it needs to be on all the time. So shut off everything except known AV I would say. It makes things much faster on mine. Especially start up time. Especially shut down "Quick time", is was the worst on mine for time loss. Hope that helps. My bad, welcome to the forum raymond7 You picked a good day to join or post. Whichever, it is Veteran's day 2006.

Maybe it is like Norton Security Suite falco. Maybe you need all of their stuff for it to work properly. (just a thought, as I will not change mine to accomodate it).

IE7 Drag links or whatever on to my screen. HELP ! !
tommie gorman replied to tommie gorman's topic in HELP!
So no idea how to drag then? I was hoping to try and make it work first. Thanks for the quick response though. And that will help as a last resort. Again thanks. -
Anyway for a little more explanation. I just installed according to my updates to IE7. Not bad, had a little trouble getting Outlook opening up tonight. But here is the problem I have not heard of yet. You know how you hold down the mouse to drag the E from the very top left corner to drag a shortcut to a page for later usage onto you main screen. ( I know all of this is not PC comp talk, but I hope you know what I mean ) Well. It won't work in IE7 for me. Never had this problem in IE6. I just installed it last night right before I went to bed.(11-10-06 early AM) In advance, THANKS Tommie If I can't get that back, what would be the easiest way back home to IE6? I really want to try and use it.

Actually I refer it all the time. It is street riots thread on "Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer " I just don't read it often enough. Otherwise I would have known for sure.

What ever you do if you get a chance tomorrow, just thank a Veteran. They earned it. I got this from Patriotism, and only wanted this one post. As it came to mind when making this thank you. The elderly parking lot attendant wasn't in a good mood! Neither was Sam Bierstock. It was around 1 a.m., and Bierstock, a Delray Beach, Fla. eye doctor, business consultant, corporate speaker and musician, was bone tired after appearing at an event. He pulled up in his car, and the parking attendant began to speak. "I took two bullets for this country and look what I'm doing," he said bitterly. At first, Bierstock didn't know what to say to the World War II veteran. But he rolled down his window and told the man, "Really, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you." Then the old soldier began to cry. http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=13580.45 Thanks to EWO.

Are you on XP? I think it is built in. Let me check in the forum. I think it is here. Do you mean this one? How to error-check: 1. Double click the my computer icon on the desktop. The my computer window will open. Right click on Local Disk (C:). Click properties. 2. Select the tools tab. Under the error-checking section click check now. 3. A window will pop up with options check the two boxes then click start. 4. It will say that it will run at the next restart. So restart the computer. This process will take a while (20 minutes). It will reboot itself when it is finished. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257
