Welcome to the forum jar57 I would say you are a little slow, it should be around 900-1000 normally on download. Try cleaning out your temp files also. "Reply #27"^^ up a couple of posts. panchovilla here is something to read and check out. In fact you might both read it. "Achieve the Best Performance Out of Your Computer" Just click on the link: http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-4257 Then if you both would post a 2992 file test http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php where it says "Largest - 2992 kB" and post your scores. Then we will work on tweaking your connection. -
Now that is funny.

Did I forget to mention that the new mirror over your bed, that you thought your husband put up. And that your husband thought you put up....was put up by me! And that it is not just a mirror! *giggles from behind the bush again*
-
Sand in the vaseline... and I thought no vaseline was bad enough...
-
Yeah, I have since hired a girl to keep an eye on you outside of your bedroom window. *giggles and runs* And she works for peanuts. *as he continues to run*

Wow 3000/256 must be nice. But AOL dial-up... well that would suck. And for them prices.

Last I checked she was.

At the top of your browser left click on Download Test. Under Available Download Tests it will say "Express Dual Test", left click on that. At the end of the test it will say "CLICK HERE to copy to your clipboard!"Left click on that and right click on the info in that box, left click to copy to your clipboard. Then go to the place you want to post and right click and paste. That should do it. -
Welcome to the forum ackaite You guys on zoominternet always seem to have pretty nice speeds.

If the gov't would loosen up the rules of domination of states and cities, more of us would be on DSL. I am so close to DSL it stinks. And I hate storms. Worse than anything.

Its actually true, with the 22,500 mile signal up and then again down. Sat will never win. No matter how fast it is. We do fair better globally though. No real long distance to England at all. Same 45,000 mile trip. One other point I read recently also, if all systems around you were down. All it would take to get sat is a generator.

1560 could be right, but the 670... truckinslim has been getting 500+ consistently though. Never know, maybe you are hittting the same thing. Why don't you post a dual test if you would. -
What I was referring to, not to sound smart. Was the English language having so many dual and slang meanings. How many ways are there to say one thing? And how many slangs are there? I always understood Spanish to actually be the easiest and simpliest. I just don't desire to change my language. Just my thoughts.

Well since so many switched to Wild Blue, our speeds have increased some. I sort of wish someone else would start up a sat like Wild Blue did. Go Wild Blue.

Nice one, Test My 69 huh? Wish I had thought of that.

Being fair is fun, but as Roco has stated it never ends. And they will call all hours. And they will be dumb calls. And if you charge less than $50 an hour, you will lose money, not actually pay for the laptop. Ever. Like FallowEarth said, intense. I was an honest roofer, and damned good at it, and after a while I found pro-bono is worse on the pocket book than just quitting. Newspapers are really a good idea, if it is a small paper and inexpensive. No big city paper as it will run too high a bill. No yellow pages as they want their $$ whether you make any or not. For the full 12 months. You would end up opening a comp shop, and need schooling. And liscensing, and insurance, and city liscense, and business insurance, and bigger tax account, and a bigger fuel card, start paying self employment tax (SS), etc... Self employment bites. Try business cards at local barbers, laundromats, small bars, luncheonettes, or just word of mouth like php. Wow, too long again. To enjoy, stay small.

Never thought about it that way, true. A seldom reached good point about sat. And faster than dial-up.
