That has to be enough. Just a stupid question, which might be a key, it only happens on this site. Could something target this site only? Maybe my comp is zero'd in on this site? Is it possible? Still don't understand. I wonder if CA3LE has ever run into this situation before? Maybe a virus or ware of some sort? Maybe a setting in optimizer?

Just in my case, and I mean before my comp wigged out, i was running with everybody else. Only older style optimizer. It is much easier to setup. and appears to do a pretty good job. All the other tweaks take a lot of work. Justinlay also only runs newer optimizer and runs with the others. Just an opinion. Also the paste method you are refering to is a screenshot, and i have not mastered it yet.

Yeah I checked into that and they say that they would have to put something in the middle of the line so far out, but for $car payment price, I definitely stopped looking. It just intrigued me.

You say that it has no tweaks. Try totally cleaning up gateway. Then try posting both tests. Are you sure you have not tweaked gateway, just checking? Also what tweaks were done to dell? Were you getting these speeds before you tweaked the dell?

This is strange also: Speakeasy gives me an 890Kbps. You said that once your comp did a few strange things. Did it do it on all speed tests or just this one? This is the only one that it shows up this way. And of course this the only place I can validate. testmy.net again: 1156 and 1559 with 2992 Man I don't have acess to the 5k or 12k test anymore. Problem is I don't give up that easily, I would still like to properly post speeds. My 1030 speeds were consistent and i felt comfortable. If a total recovery is necessary, then eventially, that is what will have to be done. Still I would like to try other optimizer, if I could find the settings, first.

After I remove the optimizer, this will be a good time to try newer wersion of optimizer. Where would I probably get the settings for it. I'd pm justinlay but I thought they might be in here, except I have never been able to find them, even for other people? Is that not all the tweaks you see in my list.^^ Just for reference in the last week others are trying optimizer and increasing speeds, but no not like mine.

resopalrabotnick, Sounds familiar to dial-up. Maybe filters and instead of transformers using signal boosters of some sort. So maybe a little getting on the ball for DSL?

I don't want to be correct at all. Lets make this simple, I really just want to change it so we all play on the same playing field with the same rules. I really don't want to be special. You are the only one that makes it appear this way. If there is any solution you could come up with, which is what this thread is about i would appreciate it. Have been singled out in this way? I hope not. Now that all that is said, do you have any help for my setup so I might test it and change it. Can you help get a majority average again? By way the others are starting to get better speeds also. Luckily not like mine though.

No not at all. My comp has been getting unreasonable speeds lately, and I was trying to resolve the issue. I feel sort of left out that I appear to not be at all justified in posting my scores as everybody else. Everytime I do even in large file tests, i get someone (not naming) telling me I am speed bursting. Although I have done nothing to cheat. My scores are a little unusually high, and mostly I just want to post on the forum as anyone else. So I started this post to see if anyone could resolve this so I can come out and play also.

So I would say it is safe to assume that my speed issue would be resolved, that my speeds are ok to post as correct, if no one can figure out anything is actually wrong with this setup by the end of the weekend, then I can claim everything worked that I did! And there will no more speed burst issues? As long as i test with a large file! Correct?

Has anybody hit a 3000Kbps yet on 2992 with 4000 modem, or would that pretty much be a tough goal. Do not remember seeing any 2800+ yet.
