  1. Mine continues to climb daily.....signal is good at 83 and X-pol is in the 80's , speeds are good too? At this point will take Ghostmasters advice and ignore it.
  2. Anybody else notice the "Miscellaneous Problems" found on the Advanced Configuration Page continue to climb since the firmware update Mine seems to go up 200-300 everyday.....system seems fine
  3. Hope it works for you, here the wireless signal for my phone is always dropping calls....so I can imagine what the internet service might be like.
  4. Most people that get DSL couldn't get to the phone quickly enough to cancel the Hughes internet service
  5. I hsve the pro plan for $69........video clips seem to work fine too. Here is a price chart
  6. Surely WB will get the firmware fixed soon? Hughes is tweaking with firmware as well.
  7. are the pings like that on all the WB beams?
  8. Mine is not an S but here is what I have got tonight: Pinging testmy.net [67.18.179.85] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=983ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=731ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=711ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=739ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=898ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=798ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=747ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=715ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=706ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=822ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=850ms TTL=50 Reply from 67.18.179.85: bytes=32 time=710ms TTL=50 Ping statistics for 67.18.179.85: Packets: Sent = 12, Received = 12, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 706ms, Maximum = 983ms, Average = 784ms Control-C
  9. to the forum.. try this test size http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?&st=st&tt=1&ta=1&top=000&out_src=20MB
  10. I'm glad cleaning your system every hour makes your speeds good.....its obvious to me this is not normal or needed.
  11. Its odd I don't have to do all this repeated cleaning and settings every hour ritual continuously to get advertised speed. I'm glad too because it wouldn't happen......be like having to stop every 2-3mile and put air in all 4 of your car tires.
  12. Here is a online quiz to evaluate yourself..... http://psychcentral.com/ocdquiz.htm
  13. Somebody must want to have a DW4000 more than me thats for sure.....myself think the 7000 gives much better results without the fuss.
  14. Thats not all that bad for the 6000....if you want better uploads get the 7000 or above. ::::::::::.. 16. get yourself a good cordless phone and schedule a 4hour setting each day at least 2X week until you get results. Also file a claim online with the BBB...this will get you a call back in most cases from somebody with connections to make things happen.
  17. Do random speed tests on the Hughes site as well (even though its not as accurate) this will help you demonstrate your issue at hand. Most times support only acknowledge Hughes speed test site. Maybe the will put you on a different transponder. Looks like you might be on the phone awhile to get the transponder change? Took me many hours....but it was well worth it.
  18. You might also check for any firmware updates availbale for your router...did you mention the brand-model you use?
  19. The pro-plus offers 400MB bucket for $79 next step is the Small Office 500MB for $99. Of course the speeds will increase too.
  20. Another thing I noticed with your usage chart....you are not hitting the FAP at 169 either, as a rule with the 169MB plan the limit is 225 in the wee hours. So you must already be using a 350MB bucket? Looks like you may need a 500MB or more size FAP limit?
  21. Look at the usage chart and the chart I posted with your speeds ... times/days when your getting the very low speeds.....its the FAP issue thats causing your low speeds. A FAP monitor may help you, but if your against the wall that often.....you need a bigger bucket. The bucket only fills back up at 50kbps....so if you continue to use it never fills back up.
  22. could you post a screen shot of your usage...the chart that shows per hour? if your contract is up with the earthlink deal....cancel it, you have much better options available.
  23. Seems as though you may have connection speeds confused with actual transfer speeds? Because if your on a home plan...even with an (up to) 700Kbps connection speed advertised these are decent speeds your getting on the tests. do a test eliminating the router....during peak hours the home connection will usually suffer the most, some do not experience the peak hour slow downs others do. During off peak hours 12am-6am you would normally see your best scores and best pings. Like I said earlier.....if you want a bigger package call Hughes directly. You are already paying for the pro package. If you want a bundle deal DirecTv offers 10/month discount if you order through them the Hughes internet...in this case you could get the pro package for 59.99 after discounts.
  24. Gorman seems to be the TCP authority....myself do not use it and get the advertised speeds, but some allow it helps. Your speed test logs show your are getting decent speeds for a home plan...(other than when under FAP). Each PC will not get full speed on your connection while all users are downloading simultaneously. Do not expect to get 3MB connection with satellite unless you are prepared to shell out the greenbacks big time. The plans are readily available for SHO and business plans to provide much higher speeds, expect to have a triple bypass surgery when the bill comes. I'm not sure what your home plan states as "up to" speed.....some mention a 500/50 plan as a basic deal.
