  2. Looks like a 30/5 FiOS connection.... lucky you.

  5. Yeah makes me wonder how bad my 15/2 connection would show up if it was cached
  6. ROM-DOS, Are you using Modem Bonding to achieve those speeds?
  7. Try this ccs file in cablenut. You didn't give your upload speed so I assumed 384 which is the industry average. if it's different let me know.
  8. First of all zonk, your test is most likely cached, nobody can get 18X the average speed of their ISP even if they use FIOS. clear you cache, restest and don't hit the back button. Next.. here's my speeds: :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 14359 Kbps about 14.4 Mbps (tested with 12160 kB) Download Speed is:: 1753 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (server2) Test Time:: Sun Nov 06 2005 19:35:19 GMT-0500 (Eastern Standard Time) Bottom Line:: 256X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.58 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 249.11 % faster than the average for host (rr.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-Q4MLCPJXE :::.. 9. No problem always glad to help, Just hope your cable doesn't go out too often.. hate to see you at 1% of speed for too long.
  10. Actually Did you know that your roadrunner account comes with free dial up access? That's right you simply have to go to roadrunner's page, download the dialer and register for it. They have access numbers for most of the US.
  11. Holy.... 20/20 great speed , bad thing about most FIOS is it's capped by the total amount you can transfer. good to see this isn't.
  12. no problem then again my 15 Mbps speeds were doubted too. Sorry but I didn't see any mention of FIOS on surewest's website (that's where I got package info) but companies are coming out with it all the time I'm guessing from his speed he's on a 20 Mbps connection. if he's on the 30 Mbps plan he should tune his RWIN a little Then again I also was under the impression all FIOS was Verzion, but that's stupid when I realized RR Tampa Bay basically uses a FIOS network and coax just to connect to the Modem. Everything up to the external box outside is Fiber.
  13. most likely cached unless you managed to pay $500 to $1000 a month for a DS3 line, Surewest's fastest residential package is 3/768, remember testing from work doesn't count, just residential speed.
  14. Can any of you match These? :::.. 15. AMD is far superior Clock for clock than any intel chip. It takes a Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz of processing speed to match what an Athlon XP can do at 2.2 Ghz.
  16. All those mhz and would still get trounced by a Dual Core Athlon running 2.4 Ghz in processing power.. pathetic. Now let's see an Athlon running at those speeds
  17. Not accurate at all... listed me at 3.4 megs.. I have a 15 Meg connection
  18. I've got a 15/2 connection from RoadRunner Tampa bay and even though I get great speeds I'd rather have the proper setttings, what would you reccommend VanBuren.
  19. Nice try Ghostmaster but, didn't they already say college Connections didn't count? Yes your's is fast, but I think it's between me and Deathmetal for fastest residential. Besides isn't it cheating to run the test from a college computer lab. try one from your Home. (let's just hope he doesn't have a 30/5 FIOS connection at home )
  20. Call BrightHouse directly. It's not a TW package but exclusive to BrightHouse Tampa Bay.
  21. If you have Digital Cable TV (the one with the DVR) and RoadRunner you could match my speeds. If you're on BrightHouse Tampa Bay. They're offering 2 new tiers but only for their "Digital Combo" subscribers 10/1 for TV and RR at $10 more a month or if you have Digital Phone also they'll give you 15/2 for $15 a month extra. They even let me upgrade from the standard 5/384 to 10/1 during the time I was waiting for a tech to come and install the Digital Phone service (2 weeks). That was good but 15/2 is awesome. I didn't lose any money on bills as I just cancled my standard Phone service, about the same as the cost of Digital Phone per month and I no longer have to pay for long distance.
  22. You were saying :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 14187 Kbps about 14.2 Mbps (tested with 20972 kB) Download Speed is:: 1732 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net Test Time:: Bottom Line:: 253X faster than 56K 1MB download in 0.59 sec Diagnosis: Awesome! 20% + : 244.76 % faster than the average for host (rr.com) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-1F2EWGKHO
  23. BTW guys That last result wasn't faked, I'm on a brand new 15/2 tier from RoadRunner Tampa. Normal for this area is a 5mb/384kbps connection. love being able to download 3 times as fast and upload 5+ times faster.
  24. They already did. My RR package is Bright House's response to FiOS here in the Tampa area.
