  6. : Tdawnaz , by the use of Bizarre ,I meant out of the ordinary , Bizarre can be fun , and usually it is , I often get called bizarre in the UK, do to my failure to completely grow up and become a miserable old git , maybe the word bizarre has a different meaning in the States , ?, Uncle Tom sounds a great guy , but I am not sure about being under the influence while in charge of a child driving a car in the overly politically correct no fun times we have today , I think we are living in sad times and doing the kids no flavors by making their lives so safe and controlled , The odd cut and broken limb comes with the territory, IMHO
  7. sorry for that Tommie , cat gut was also used as a early form of condom , but I guess the were prone to "just popped a hole in my fun now" ..............
  8. :Right on Tommie , a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush anyday ,.... Tdawnaz, that is sad, but bizarre
  9. Flame grilled ? maybe Cat gut ( not from cats , ) is still used in surgery , and has not been surpassed by modern sythetics , it comes from sheep cattle ,goats etc. also used in violin strings the word cat gut = kitgut ("violin string"), so all the pussy lovers can relax
  10. .,............... was it for the fur or protein , ? Duh I wished I hadent asked
  11. I am keeping an open mind on this , a friend went to Mexico to obtain this treatment using high doses of apricot kernels , it didn't save her , but for some it works , I guess there are too many variables in this treatment and not enough research taking place , but I feel it should not be dismissed out of hand , so many medicines are based on natural remedies to ignore ,
  12. dont encourage me guys I think maybe Samey might be thinking on this line http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lateral_thinking, and I guess that is the way I think , having been a problem solver(trouble shooter ) in industry for many years , let the erxperts have there go , if that fails, step back and think why go that route, there are more than one way to skin a cat ( old english saying ) Who skins cats ? , anyone ? Starship T , give Samey his due , all the rest of the class are busy googling , and coming up with the same result , this guy is lateral thinking in my book and not following the herd , just my thoughts for what they are worth ,
  13. , good news, The males are the talkers , but if there are 2 , he will not learn to talk , is the other one a female ? btw, I bred budgies as a kid , great friendly birds , unlike mr Tiel who still hisses and spits at me 2 years on ,
  14. Known as a Jack of all trades, but master of none , in the Uk I guess eating a lot of these could make a person an allrounder , ,
  15. update on this , first thanks Reso .... and I hope the bird is doing fine ? I put the modem/ router onto my spare computer and it worked OK , and it syncs 30% higher than my pci modem , (4.2Mbps ) so my Brit telicom profile should change within 3 Day's , 3.5 Mbps download instead of 2Mbps , lol us Brits have the speed , (not ) My next step is going wireless for my laptop, so I can relax in the garden and surf the internet on sunny days , ( 2 days of the year in the UK ) BTW is the budgie a female, ? if so she could be egg bound , ? , but I guess something would have happened by now if she was ,
  16. thanks Reso..... lol 1.35 AM uk , and it's been a long day You seemed to have found out much more than me , I have been told this modem/ router is the bee's knees in the UK , so I would like to get it running ,as it was 1/3rd the price of a new one in the UK , BTW. I am still running my old conexant runner modem (pci ) , I just thought I should upgrade
  17. Cut to the quick , I have bought a Speed touch 585v6 adsl +2 modem/router in the UK , I have 7 days to return it , starting from today 23 June 07 , It's a used item , came in the box with all the bits, but it is password locked , and I cant configure it , I have searched the web and got all sorts of conflicting advice , I get all the lights apart from the internet light , it keeps asking for the user name and password I just spent 4 hours of frustration trying to get it up and running , and have sent a "I am returning it Email , " just to cover my ass , ANY THOUGHTS GUYS ? b4 I box it up , BTW. I have Tried Administration , Admin, ect and every combination I can think of ,
  18. , Sorry guys for the double post but my on line time is limited at the moment (work ) Pic's of bird's ,settle down at the back ,I mean the feathered variety This is a UK definition , and may not apply in the States and is going up in size BTW, I have a rescued Tiel ,(kept in a store room for 5 years ), as the owners wife didn't like his screeching, Known as MOG , (miserable old git ) as he is pysho. damaged , but now leads a good life of freedom and care , Personally I don't like the idea caged birds, as what can fly should be of the leash IMHO, (see my avatar ) my fav. flying free bird the Albatross The father of flight , and can still beat sailplanes any day if there is reincarnation , put my name down please
  19. Hi Reso... sounds like a nest injury , if it ain't giving him any problems ,like falling of the perch while sleeping etc, best leave it alone , as I doubt much can be done for him at this late stage , sounds like he has landed on his feet ,arrriving at your place , "new cage + female provided" , any chance if I hop over to your place I could get the same deal ? BTW the male budgie has a blue bridge to it's beak the female is brown , less noticeable as they get older. you will need a nesting box if you wish to breed from them , otherwise the female will just drop the eggs onto the bottom of the cage , http://www.snowflakepets.co.uk/html/budgie.html

She may not have the best voice, but its amazing for her age. She is pitch perfect, she hits everynote just right. And she brings heart into the song. So what if she's only six years old? That's what makes it so amazing. " quote ,abercrombieeeee,
