Hi I F1NAL I, sorry for another neg. post on this car, I just phoned a friend , a BMW mech/parts specialist , He says no at any price, that model had serious problems with the engine , he has made a fortune doing engine swaps on that model , " The 328i is often a model to steer clear of. It was plagued by problems with its Nikasil cylinder liners and this often resulted in new engine warranty claims. The flipside of this is that there may well be some very well looked after low mileage 328i models with replacement engines that would make a great buy. " apparently the only BMW car affected this way , just thought you should know these facts , sorry guys for the double post , but I thought this info warranted it , straight from the horses mouth , as we say in the UK

$500 off , do you reckon he would take it , if so why ,is it a private or trade sale ? just take it easy on this, there are a million motors for sale out there, I guess I cant dissuade you from buying a BMW, we all like different cars , or they wouldn't make so many just remember if he jumps at $500 off , it is still to high , if you want money off find some faults with it (tire wear , milage ,etc , )

My reason for this rant on retirement age ! ...read this true story, ... A UK couple , man and wife reached the age of 59 years , they had both worked long and hard in their respective jobs , their dream was to retire and tour the UK for a while , to see all the things they had missed in their working life , his health was in slow decline ( coal miner ), and he was the car driver,, not unusual in the UK, she could retire on State pension at 60 years of age , he would have to work on till he was 65 years , they appealed to the UK Gov. over this and was turned down, with national newspaper support he took this to the European supream court, who ruled that the UK Gov. was acting in a sexual dicremental manner , the UK Gov . was forced to change the rules to enable fair play between the sexes, Yeah, they raised the retirement age for women to 65 years , to equal their menfolk, So UK guys take the snip, and F**K the government or as we say in the UK "V"
