yeah i got it to open, before readin these posts. but thanks guys i'll use that stuff in the future...nah it opened cause i "accidentally" took it out of my tower put a new one in it and slung this one against a wall...and what do you know it popped right open

Ok, well I knew my DVD burner drive was going out, and I knew i needed to replace it. Problem is Now even with the emergency eject pin getting pushed it wont open...the light just comes on and it clicks. and there is a cd in it. any ideas how to get it out? if it involves breaking and or beating the bloody pulp out of this drive thats fine...but i want to get the cd out...its my install cd to NERO 7. I'm buying a new one since this has been overly used for the last few years which is no reason for me to be suprised that its going out...but how do i get the cd out?

i agree with mudman, i would be trying a new MB...not the easiest of fixes...but at the same time its almost definatively going to fix it since it just points out to the MB being bad...who knows it could be something so small we cant remember it

exactly which bios beeps do you get? or is it just one beep? im enclined to say its not your cpu

understand that, i just mentioned that since you said

could it be since everything went wrong that the pci slot died? or burnt out or something...just a thought.

all i have is the plugins for media player and flash and everything. no addons whats so ever.

yeah but it is continuous with me, firefox crashes when i go to this site about 70% of the time, and the pages are all laggy

Hey CA3LE, ever since i tried to get on here this morning the site wouldnt load at all for me. thats fixed now, lol obviously. but now about 2 out of 3 times i come to the homepage or to the forum page my firefox crashes. only happesn on this site. and its very laggy. any ideas why? lol that doesnt stop me from posting though

just be careful, your card needs a big powersupply, make srue that can also handle everything else in your system. i'd go at least 500...but if that works then hey its a good powersupply none the less

yeah the more expensive of the two powersupplies i just have posted should run those fine. the least expensive will also, but i'd trust putting that extra few dollars out for a higher power and according to the specs your graphisc card needs a big power supply, so i'd go with this one if not i'd even go for a little higher power. but if you can open your budget just a little bit more, even 25 dollars more you can get a much more powerful PSU. but i think the one im linking to should work just fine http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189005 edit. i know this is way out of your budget (mine as well) but WOW! http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817189015 there is also a 1000 Watt version as well...who needs that for a home computer!
