im not sure ...have you tried changing cables to another port? and maybe its the ethernet port on the back of the pc....or the cable? i'm not sure but i know that one of the other mods/members will know. just be patient

what speeds are advertised for your download basically, and if you get close to that there is nothing you can do to get more of your average, because your average is (as i forgot but coknuck posted) all of that company not just your speed.

yeah turn off the background apps. I'm not 100% on this but i think its the 768kbps download package, not the 1.5mbps.

what settings did you use? and what are your advertised speeds, and also can you post the results to a speed test.

same here dlewis, i looked again and this is all i found i guess i could uninstall suse and use ubuntu, i can use that easier and it recognizes my wireless better....

Sorry to hear that about your mom , hope she is feeling better now well i have an acer aspire 3100 laptop with the integrated "Acer InviLink 802.11b/g Wi-Fi!" is all i know about it. and i dont think it detects it because i have the wifi switch turned on but nothing happens. it just says the my network manager is off....and wont let me turn it on, so i use an ethernet cord and all is fine.
