The only thing i know you could do is check around for plug ins. And does winamp allow hotkeys? if so you could set up your remote to do hotkeys to control it i guess.

Lol, Today I just found out why my internet kept dropping. We have a line that was buried in the 1980's. Our house was never upgraded for digital cable but somehow it was working! lol. So they are going to come and replace it on monday and i will post some more results. My speed is good but the on time was crap.

When i used to play runescape i found that the GIF popups with sound tend to cause alot of lag in the java template. This could also be the problem.

Hmm thats a pretty big PSU. It shouldnt be a problem then.

What does make sence is he is using a VERY powerful graphics card which requires ALOT of power. It could be taking power away from his networking device causing it not to function properly. I would try using a diffrent PSU if you have a spare one somewhere and see what happens. Nod.

When you swap out a modem with comcast and they give you another one it sets your internet to run on a proxy which brings you to the comcast download page. After you finish the program it tends to keep the proxy server enlisted on your browser. All you have to do to stop it is the following: 1. Open Internet Explorer 2. Go to Tools/Internet Options/Connections Tab. 3. Click on LAN Settings. 4. Uncheck the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" box. ~Finished~ Extra: If you need to access the download page again just re-check the box and you will be able to access it again. Nod

My monitor used to do this. It was caused by a flaw in the wiring. I had to send it back to dell and get it replaced. EDIT: Ok i just read the post again and it wasnt the monitor. Hmm. Try checking the cables if they are tight. And also check your refresh rate settings to see if they are set correctaly for your monitor. Also. Try turning off the power saving device on your PC that turns off the monitor when not in use.

Yeah, I had a tech come out and he said its because they are replacing alot of the lines in the area. But what keeps me doubting that is that it only happens on the night hours ( 9 - 12) and I dont think they work that late myself.

I dont really like this powerboost stuff much anyway. Ever since it has been in use by everyone my internet has dropped ALOT more. Like now around Peak Hour times it just drops randomly. Fine during morning hours and lunchtime.
