no problem baltogun2003 im glad it worked fine, for upload i suggest to try other speedtests aswell choose 2 servers close to you http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ VanBuren

there is nothing more to do, get rid of USB and use ethernet instead that will give you the speed your paying for Win 98 tcp stack is not very good, but for download speed it works pretty well up to around 5 Mbps your TCP settings seem fine VanBuren

you live in Malaysia right? your ping is probl 300+ ms to this site and that will makes it hard to get more then that, traffic on the route will impact alot on score loss over high ping routes slow down alot more then if you get loss on a low latency route what you can do at this point is to reduce your TCP windowsize in steps of 1452 until you reach a point where connection is stable VanBuren
-
you calling me greedy? i can agree that limit speed below 90% of cap is greedy, but due to approx 10% TCP overhead, your basicly maxing out at 90% this is just a way to send acknowledgepackets faster VanBuren
-
try this, open TCP optimizer and choose dsl PPPoE custom settings change TCP Receive window to 63888 and uncheck windows scaling click apply changes and reboot when testing speed, use the 2992 KB test downstream and 1496 KB test upstream VanBuren
-
i use it too, on fileshare programs, limit your upload to around 90% and your download speed will go faster VanBuren

not that part, i just find it comic that they was forced to show their nipples to a Gorilla or get fired "They were threatened that if they ''did not indulge Koko's nipple fetish, their employment with the Gorilla Foundation would suffer,'' the lawsuit alleged." VanBuren

do nothing, just answer this so i can help 1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp, if you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here https://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497 If you have a MAC try this program http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/12591 2. What service do you have, what is the advertised speed for download/upload. 3. What tweakprograms you already got installed, and run this test http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks copy and paste result URL adress in your post! 4. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post. just like to share my Default settings vs Cablenut tweaks the only thing i been changing is TcpWindowSize from 17520 to 64240, or else i would have gotten even slower speed i run my NIC in 10 Mbps thats why i only have 17520 as default, i changed it so it would be same as 100 Mbps on my NIC anyways here is the results with those settings compare them with Cablenut tweak scores here http://thegamer.serveftp.com/Benchmark.htm VanBuren :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 3107 Kbps about 3.1 Mbps (tested with 20972 KB) Download Speed is:: 379 KB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net Test Time:: Bottom Line:: 55X faster than 56K 1MB download in 2.7 sec Diagnosis: May need help : running at only 57.34 % of your hosts average (bredbandsbolaget.se) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/id-X2RV5AUE6 :::.. yea thats the bad thing about a high TcpWindowsize, i just wanted to test this before we start changing AFD buffer open cablenut, and reload the file 5000 384.ccs from SP2 MSS 1460 folder change DefaultReceiveWindow to 384000 and leave all other settings as they are click save to registry and reboot VanBuren
