  2. If you have TCP Optimizer or Dr.TCP installed, make sure the MTU field is blanked out after that click save. now download this attached file (DSL PPPoE 1500 384.zip ), unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry, in top left corner click file, load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped. now click save to registry and reboot check speed again, use the 2992 KB testfile for download and 1496KB testfile upstream, also make a new tweaktest and post result good luck VanBuren
  3. try reinstall it, and after that uninstall it if you like VanBuren
  4. looking good, lets see what speed you get when less traffic VanBuren
  5. you can start doing what i ask you to do, then this will will go alot faster...... 1. What OS are you running, ex win 98, win xp, if you have XP make sure you have SP2 installed! Also download the p2p fix for SP2 here https://www.speedguide.net/read_articles.php?id=1497 2. What service do you have, what is the advertised speed for download/upload. 3. What tweakprograms you already got installed 4. What speed do you have against www.testmy.net and http://nitro.ucsc.edu/ also make a tracert, go to start-run type command and hit enter, type tracert testmy.net and hit enter, right click copy all and paste it in your post.

  7. no problem, keep visiting and tell your friends about the site VanBuren
  8. after what? speed is fine now VanBuren
  9. follow these steps https://testmy.net/topic-2097 and post again VanBuren
  10. This topic has been moved to Make it Faster.... [iurl]https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?topic=2437.0[/iurl]
  11. If you use Cablenut you can tweak upload download and install Cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 open adjuster Set DefaultSendWindow to 47104 click save to registry and reboot VanBuren
  12. i have fiber to my house, 10 Mbps cap up and down, i live in Sweden so i cant complain scoring 9,2 Mbps on a oversea server VanBuren
  13. ok then your ISP block ICMP traffic follow these steps and post again http://www.testmy.net/topic-2097 VanBuren
  14. config firewall to allow ICMP traffic, start-controlpanel-windows firewall- advanced- ICMP settings- check allow eco requests click ok and close now do a new linequality test VanBuren
  15. you dont seem to be pingable, do you have a firewall? Do you use a router? you need to disable firewall or config it to allow ICMP traffic VanBuren
  16. yea alot of info, but nothing says anything about router locations..... thats the part that usally is very inaccurate like this node in UK says its in NY with these cordinates 40.750N, 73.994W the atlantic ocean give a increase of around 69 ms and thats normal VanBuren
  17. sweet OOL rulez VanBuren
  18. thats great speed 91% of cap upstream, all above 90% is very good and then you get what you pay for VanBuren
  19. takes alot more then that to insult me if ppl would actually read the sticky it would be alot easyer http://www.testmy.net/topic-2097 VanBuren
  20. I suggest to use SP2 with my tweaks, so stick to TCP Optimizer if your using SP1 VanBuren
  21. Dern, that looks good VanBuren
  22. DW 4000 can pull 2 Mbps, but i havent seen a DW 6000 above 1.5 Mbps on 2992 KB test i know nothing about transmitters i just tried to mix regular cable and dsl tweaks for Sat, its great if you can test diffrent things, i think the file just need some finetuning, but its hard for me to suggest anything, cos i cant see how connection behave and so on i suggest to try changing these parameters Tcp1323Opts try 1 or 3 DefaultReceiveWindow and TcpWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize see my previous post VanBuren
  23. DefaultReceiveWindow should be 1024 x your capped speed in KB/s so a 2 Mbps connection should have 2000 / 8,192 = 244 KB/s x 1024 = 249856 same goes for DefaultSendWindow but then use the upstream cap the TCPWindowSize and GlobalMaxTcpWindowsize is best to calculate with this calculator http://www.dslnuts.com/bitsbytes.shtml so with a MTU of 1500 you have a MSS of 1500-40 = 1460 and with a MTU of 1460 its 1460 -40 = 1420 Bandwidth in KB/s ( downstream) in this case 244 Latency = the worst possible latency to the gateway you enable Timestamping in this parameter 23. Tcp1323Opts - This parameter controls RFC 1323 time stamps and window-scaling options. Time stamps and window scaling are enabled by default, but can be manipulated with flag bits. Bit 0 controls window scaling, and bit 1 controls time stamps. Value Type: REG_DWORD
  24. hey again only run your NIC in full duplex if you have a router installed download and install Cablenut https://testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;id=64 download this attached file (Cable & DSL 256 64.zip ), unzip it to C:ProgramCablenut open cablenut adjuster, in top left corner click file, load custom settings file, browse to C:ProgramCablenut and dubble click on the file you unzipped. now click save to registry and reboot check speed again, use the 2992 KB testfile for download and 1496KB testfile upstream, also make a new tweaktest and post result good luck VanBuren
