  4. then its not the wire, since you have a new modem, call your ISP and let them check modem signals and packetloss VanBuren
  5. take the cat5 or whatever LAN wire your using from the faster PC and plug it in on the slow PC and vice versa if nothing change we know its no problem with the wire VanBuren

  8. do you get around 3700Kbps everytime you make a test on that PC? if so switch LAN wires between the 2 PC
  9. be happy you get what you pay for add approx 10% TCP overhead and your at advertised speed 912 x 1.1 = 1003,2 Kbps VanBuren

  14. I dont know how much backbone can handle, but upgrade all their 10/10 customers to 100/10 will fore them to upgrade backbone as well, a guess is that they havent done that yet yea im on fiberoptic, i got fiber to the house, switches in basement and LAN cables to each apartments. VanBuren
  15. hehe yea i dont complain, i just hope they didnt oversold the bandwidth and just claim "up to" 100Mbps, o well i give a week to fix it, before ill start spamming their support VanBuren
  16. my ISP upgraded me yesterday to 100 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up for free ISP has some backbone problems where i live so speed is not the best this ftp transfer is from University in my town, thats pretty close to 100 until backbone is fixed im stuck to this :::..   19. just open cablenut and click "delete cablenut tweaks" and click "save to registry" now reboot your PC and your back to windows default settings VanBuren
  20. well the longest uptime ive had was 3 days and it was running good, it might be a cachememory problem making your PC slow down. I use cacheman btw, havent compared with win defaults but it might help. try it out at http://www.outertech.com/index.php?_charisma_page=product&id=7 VanBuren
