yea in a couple of years almost all ppl on fios will see this speed, right now no one really need 100 Mbps at home, unless you host servers, but the trafficlimit on 100Mbps service limit that possibillity i have to pay more if i use more then 300GB/month VanBuren

need help with speeding up lan transfer rates
VanBuren replied to Blunted's topic in Make it Faster...
I havent tested that out, but you could try this add a zero to your DefaultReceiveWindow and DefaultSendWindow so they are 8192000 VanBuren -
lets try another method, your probl maxing out around 1200 Kbps, then its not much more to do then call the ISP but try this first, open cablenut, click delete cablenut tweaks and click save to registry only set this parameter TcpWindowSize to 46720 leave all other parameters blank now click save to registry again + reboot your PC , make a new speed and tweaktest VanBuren
-
no it wont make a diff VanBuren
-
if you get "lag" on a 97KB file, your score will suffer badly and you wont be forward to the next testfile. thats why, its best to also use a large file when checking for errors. VanBuren

is that a router and modem, or a separate router? well you will probl not reach 1500 but you should be able to get around 90% of that due to TCP overhead 0.9 x 1500 = 1350 Kbps your only around 150 Kbps away now change these parameters DefaultReceiveWindow to 64240 TcpWindowSize 32120 GlobalMaxTcpWindowSize 32120 now click save to registry and reboot VanBuren
-
also try these mirrors http://www.testmy.net/mirrors.php VanBuren

i dont know what they using for you, but most verizon dsl is PPPoE with a MTU of 1492 dont know if they using PPPoA for you since your MTU is 1500 what speed do you get now? use the 2992 KB test dowstream and 1496 KB upstream VanBuren
-
did you click save to registry and reboot your PC? make a new tweaktest VanBuren
-
sorry i forgot to post some speed pay 80 bucks / month for this VanBuren
-
i dont know, you need to search at dslreports for that that tweaktest shows a RWIN of 130680 if you use the file i suggested your RWIN should be 128000 make sure all fields look like this after the changes, click save to registry and reboot your PC VanBuren
-
oh well, then i dont know that c: partition should show up as unallocated space during windows XP install if xp couldnt read it as a partition, if so then format a new c: partition in that unallocated space and put the OS on that VanBuren

problems with internet explore and Rockstar.msn.com website
VanBuren replied to OneWildCrzyMan's topic in General Help
that looks like default settings to me well the settings is not the issue here you have a problem with latency call your ISP and let them check modem signals as suggested, use windows default settings atleast until your ISP resolved the problem VanBuren -
I win 0.8 USD / Mbps VanBuren

problems with internet explore and Rockstar.msn.com website
VanBuren replied to OneWildCrzyMan's topic in General Help
wish i could help out more, but now your back to windows default TCP settings what player do you use to watch those movies, make sure no firewall blocking that player Edit: wait that ping is too high RTT min: 173.7 ms RTT max: 378.9 ms RTT avg: 277.6 ms try powercycle modem/router leave it off for 30 full seconds and try again VanBuren -
that RWIN is insane for 1500 Kbps you need to choose a file that suit the cap download version 7 of my tweakfiles here http://www.testmy.net/forum/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1013.0;attach=2784 unzip it and find this folder VanBurens_cablenut_settings_version_7_ALL_WIN_OS_AND_SAT CABLE_DSL_FIBER_DIAL-UPWinXP_2K_CABLE_DSLMSS1460 dubble click on the file Cable & DSL 1500 384.ccs now click save to registry and reboot pc make a new speed and tweaktest VanBuren
