  1. Security: I like WinPatrol, as it tells me about all on my system, keeps a check on it and tells me when anything is trying to change. :D
  2. You sound like you are having too much fun. Good luck and I hope you get a good PDS, like Fort Hood. That would be nice for you. Be careful and don't relax while training.
  3. Here east of the metro plex it started raining Sunday afternoon and is still raining at 7:15pm Mon. and more to come I hope. We need the rain here as all our lakes are very low, as much as 15ft. This rain isn't gonna help the lakes as it is a slow pretty steady rain that is soak- ing in as it hits, thus no runoff to the lakes.
  4. NoShow huh!!!! Soon as I saw that my evil mind immediately clicked over to noshow Jones. I am definitely a fan of his. Thanks for the character straightening. :haha:
  5. Good luck my friend. Take it from an old veteran, never, I mean never volunteer for anything. Whoops, sorry, you already did that didn't you???? :haha:
  6. Thanks for all the BD wishes folks. I do appreciate it and I certainly do want to keep on trucking. CA3LE: I feel pretty young and so far no Viagra like like bro. Hef. :D
  7. I wish I could complain about it being a rainy summer!!!!!!!! Here in the Metro-plex, Tx. its been over 100deg. and no rain and the lakes are all very low. Whats going on here, oh I know, its that stuff G. W. B. says ain't happening. :haha:
  8. Crucial all the way. 2 mos. ago. 1 set of 2 - 512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM for C note. Gauranteed as long as you own it.
  9. All told mine is using about 60,000 and I am having no problems. As I understand it is a process that runs dll's.
  10. What a deal !!!!!!!!! I am just proud to have cable connection now as I suffered with dial-up for years. I could go take a leak while a page loaded with dial-up. :haha:
  11. tdawnaz - Did you put peanuts in your RC too, we all did in the late 40's. I was 6ft. 1in when younger and am now 6ft even, 190lbs. Roco - I liked ole Gabby Hayes also, that is his pic. isn't it.
  12. I have had problems with fire ants for years but, never in the house. You must have a lot of them in your yard. They do love elec., especially where you have contacts opening and closing a lot. Check your yard looking for mounds, when you find one rake it slightly with a stick and if they come boiling out then you have found your fire ants. DO NOT let them get on you and bite you as their bite is painful and will cause a blister and will leave a pock mark where you are bitten, use Sea Breeze liquid astringent on the bite and it will counteract the toxin and you will not even get a blister and it will stop the pain. Sea Breeze is the stuff that your wife uses to clean her face. Go to Wal-Mart and purchase Ortho Orthene fire ant killer and dust a little on the mound and in a few hours you will have killed that mound as well as the queen. DO NOT get any of this on you and don't breathe in any as it is fairly dangerous stuff but, it will get rid of your fire ants until more migrate to your yard from surround- ing property. If you ever see any with wings be sure to stomp hell out of them as that is a queen hunting a place to start a new colony. Good Luck.
  13. It is a single shot. I would hate to carry it around as it feels like it weighs 50lbs. :haha:
  14. :? I thought they had tripods for those peepers?????????? A buddy of mine has a 50cal. sniper and it has a tripod. It is slightly expensive to shoot that tho.
  15. If I was gettin, I'd get a Harley D, but I ain't gettin. :haha: Last thing I rode was an ole Indian in 1949. Laid it down on gravel and bout busted a gut gettin it up. People just don't look for cycles, they will run you over.
  16. I know that there are already numerous American Corp. that have factories across the border from Tx. I am sure that is probably all up and down the border. A lot of them have been there for a long time. They also have lots of assembly factories for auto parts and all kinds of electronics and also clothing such as Haggar. They are there because labor is cheaper and no labor laws that can't be taken care of with a bribe. The whole Mex. government operates on bribery including the Police. We have the immigration laws now but, they are not being enforced. You can't enforce them without the dollars and the people to do it. GW wants the local law enforcement to start arresting illegals but, they can't even keep up with their own crime rate. :angry5:
  17. I darn sure didn't get mine and I don't think I will. Thats Microsucks for ya. :haha:
  18. Yep!! Good find. I prefer listening to my CDs that I have put into my PC. Listen to the real CDs in the car.
  19. Send the N. G. or Reg Army, something has got to be done. GW's proposal won't get it done. After saying all along that he was against amnesty he then proposed what was thinly disguised amnesty. All he is trying to do is bolster his poll ratings as he knows he is floundering for the rest of his term if he can't raise the poll ratings. You can see Karl Rove written all over that speeech, if he didn't have him he wouldn't know what to say except duh whats next Dick. GW still sucks. Another thought: How is he gonna pay for all this? He has already gotten us so deep in debt with his tax cuts for the rich folks and the war in Iraq that our Grandkids will have to pay for all this. I'm not dirt poor (now) and I'm not rich but, I am still paying about the same in taxes as before the cuts. Even the Billionaire investor, Warren Buffet, said he and his kind didn't need the stupid tax cut. :angry5:
  20. First you must learn to pronounce the city name. It is DAL-LUS, or DAA-LIS depending on if you live inside or outside LBJ Freeway. Next, if your Mapsco is more than a few weeks old, throw it out and buy a new one. If in Collin County and your Mapsco is one day old, then it is already obsolete. Forget the traffic rules you learned elsewhere. Dallas has its own version of traffic rules..."Hold on and pray." There is no such thing as a dangerous high-speed chase in Dallas. We all drive like that. All directions start with, "Get on Beltline"...which has no beginning and no end. (IT REALLY DOESN'T!!!) The morning rush hour is from 6 to 10. The evening rush hour is from 3 to 7. Friday's rush hour starts Thursday morning. If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear-ended, cussed out and possibly shot. When you are the first one on the starting line, count to five when the light turns green before going, to avoid crashing with all the drivers running the red light in cross-traffic. Construction on Central Expressway is a way of life and a permanent form of entertainment. We had sooo much fun with that we have added George Bush Toll Road and the High Five to the mix. All unexplained sights are explained by the phrase, "Oh, we're in Fort Worth!" If someone actually has their turn signal on, it is either a factory defect or an "outsider." Car horns are actually "Road Rage" indicators, and remember, it's legal to be armed in Texas. All old ladies with blue hair in Mercedes have the right of way. Period. And remember, it's legal to be armed in Texas. Inwood Road, Plano Road, NW Highway, East Grand, Garland Road, Marsh Lane, Josey Lane, 15th Street, Preston Road... all mysteriously change names as you cross intersections. (these are only a FEW examples). The perfect example is what is MOSTLY known as Plano Road. On the south end it is known as Lake Highlands Drive, cross Northwest Highway and it becomes Plano Road, go about 8 miles and it is briefly Greenville Ave, Ave K, and Highway 5. It ends in Sherman. If asking directions in Irving or SE Dallas, you must have knowledge of Spanish. If in central Richardson or on Harry Hines, Mandarin Chinese will be your best bet. If you stop to ask directions on Gaston or Live Oak, you better be armed. (And remember, it's legal to be armed in Texas.) A trip across town (east to west) will take a minimum of four hours, although many north/south freeways have unposted minimum speeds of 75. The minimum acceptable speed on the Dallas North Toll Road is 85. Anything less is considered downright sissy. The wrought iron on windows near Oak Cliff and Fair Park is not ornamental!! It is possible to be driving WEST in the NORTH-bound lane of EAST NORTHWEST Highway. Don't let this confuse you. The North Dallas Tollway is our daily version of NASCAR. LBJ Freeway is called "The Death Trap" for two reasons: "death" and "trap." If it's 100 degrees, Thanksgiving must be next weekend. If it's 10 degrees and sleeting/snowing, the Fort Worth Stock Show is going on. If it's rained 6 inches in the last hour, and it is springtime the Fort Worth Stock Show is going on. If it's rained 6 inches in the last hour, and it is springtime, the Byron Nelson Golf Classic is in the second round. If it is autumn, then the State Fair is in full swing. If you go to the Fair, pay the $8.00 to park INSIDE Fair Park. Parking elsewhere could cost up to $2,500 for damages, towing fees, parking tickets, etc. If some guy with a flag tries to get you to park in his yard, run over him. Its probably not his yard anyway. Any amusement parks, stadiums, arenas, race tracks, airports, etc., are conveniently located as far away from EVERYTHING as possible so as to allow for ample parking on grassy areas. Final Warning: Don't Mess With Texas Drivers. Remember, it's legal to be armed in Texas
  21. I feel sorry for anyone with a toothache, they are terrible, especially wisdom teeth. I have had plenty of them and I finally wised up and got me a set of falsies, teeth that is.
  22. I hope no one takes this seriously. :haha: AMAZINGLY SIMPLE HOME REMEDIES 1. If you are choking on an ice cube, don't panic. Simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat, and presto! The blockage will be almost instantly removed. 2. Clumsy? Avoid cutting yourself while slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold them while you chop away! 3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by simply using the sink. 4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer. 5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button. 6. If you have a bad cough, take a large dose of laxatives, then you will be afraid to cough. 7. Have a bad toothache? Smash your thumb with a hammer and you will forget about the toothache. Sometimes, we just need to remember what the rules of life really are: You only need two tools: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use the duct tape. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them. Never pass up an opportunity to go to the bathroom. If you woke up breathing, congratulations! You get another chance. And finally, be really nice to your family and friends; you never know when you might need them to empty your bedpan.
  23. I certainly know what they are Shug. Look at my profession, Thankfully I didn't have that problem but, a lot of my buddies did as they didn't stop and relieve the urge. :haha:
  24. I use Ashampoo Magic Defrag. I've had it about a month and so far I love it. It keeps your HD defragged all the time. I think I only paid $10 for it. You can get a 30 day trial.
