  2. First off...welcome to the site. Glad you choose to post here. Tell all your friends about Testmy.net. Damn!! You have got to be on a natural high right now man. That is an unbelievable connection for home use!! I wonder if it'll ever get to Michigan.
  3. You can view a bulk of them here: Super Bowl 2005 Commercials Enjoy! Don't forget to visit the home page and check out lots of other videos...
  4. If you are planning to install a new operating system on it, you will come out better just inserting the OS disc into the CD-Rom and allowing it to guide you to the install screen. You will have the option to format the drive there. If not, go here Bootdisk.com and download a copy of the Windows 98SE OEM (use alternative 1 or 2). Restart the pc with the floppy in the drive and allow the computer to boot from the floppy. You will then be able to utilize several dos commands. I'm not too sure as I haven't used dos in awhile, but I think the format command is

  7. Well, Comcast hit me up with the speed upgrade earlier today. The speeds are fast as hell now. I'm lovin' it!
  8. Looks like Google plans to increase their $2.1 billion empire. Not known for failure, these brothers will more than likely revolutionize VOIP. I remember when several internet phone services were free like, (Dialpad.com & IconnectHere). Even though most of us didn't need internet phone service, we would use it just because it was free, and it was an interesting concept desperate to go main stream. Although free service is not as common as it was a few years back, you can still get free trial accounts with certain companies. excerpt taken from article... GOOGLE revolutionised the internet. Now it is hoping to do the same with our phones. The company behind the US-based internet search engine looks set to launch a free telephone service that links users via a broadband internet connection using a headset and home computer. Although Google is reluctant to talk about its plans, the logical use of such a network would be to help to support a new telephone service. The company would buy capacity cheaply, by taking up slack capacity left behind when the internet bubble collapsed in 2001. Around the world, thousands of miles of fibre-optic cable remain unused because the amount of speculative development vastly exceeded demand. Such capacity would be available at rock-bottom prices today. Read the full article on Google's phone service here: Google's Next Venture
  9. This would be true if it were Kazaa, however, eXeem has a hash/metadata system. This allows for the program to verify data more efficiently. Being built on the same concept as Bit Torrent, eXeem will flourish immensely, with or without negative feedback. One thing is for sure though, it will go on to surpass Kazaa, EDonkey, EMule, and Limewire. Exeem is the new technology for sharing. If you share/leech...get used to it. Once it's fully polished, all other P2P programs will follow suit. Some will have no ads (more or less). Mabey, if you dropped down a little scrill to help fund the project, there would be no need for ads. If you are not prepared to hit yo' pockets, you gotta get in where you fit in. Anyway, the majority of all torrent sites that most of us visited contained popups/ads. Thank you for stating that again. i wrote it in the opening post, but I guess it was missed.
  10. It's up for public release. You can get it at the provided link above. Well, as you can see, my download is 135Kbps. I've had speeds over 300Kbps. with this program. I don't have ads at all as I can tell (mainly because I use PopUpCop). The ads pay the bills for future developement. It has how many seeds/peers are active for each torrent. This is peer 2 peer, so, if you are sharing with someone with a slower connection, you can't expect to get it a super high speeds. Download files with higher share ratios (seeds) and you will get faster speeds (Just like Bit Torrent). Works great for me!!
  11. OK fellas, I've been beta testing eXeem (Bit Torrent's Successor) for sloncek & Team since Oct. 10, 2004, and now it's up for public download. Here it is: eXeem eXeem
  12. Yep, site looks pretty cool. As long as you keep a good selection of music, people will visit. Make sure you add the sit to google's crawler so people can find it. Adding it to your sig is a good idea.
  13. Hey Ca3le, if the link ain't cool, please delete it. [move]([glow=green,2,300]Nothin' can fuck with tesymy.net anyway [/glow] )[/move] For those of you who haven't seen the list, here it is. 14. I don't see the new options either. Got the same test sizes.
  15. Sometimes I run test and my results don't come out right. First time ever taking this test. Never had it in my cache. Vanburen's Test :::.. Download Stats ..::: Connection is:: 7614 Kbps about 7.6 Mbps (tested with 20972 KB) Download Speed is:: 929 KB/s Tested From:: http://www.testmy.net/ Bottom Line:: 136 times faster than 56K you can download 1MB in 1.1 second(s) Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/cgi-bin/get.cgi?Test_ID=O95T2CZUX
  16. Yeah, the thread you are referring too ("Upgrade Is Planned"), over at the Comcast help forums, I'm the starter of that thread. I just posted that information over there to enlighten Michael on the fact that the new speeds are officially 6000/768. I have to go off of what Rene told me in the live chat we had, due to the fact that she pulled the information up right then and there. That's what's in the system.
  17. Well, it's official. We will be getting 6000/768. This upgrade is long overdue.
  18. When I clear out my cache and take the test, I get a result that's more logical. If I run it right back without clearing my cache, I get outrageous speeds that are even further from accurate.
  19. Did anyone clear out their internet cache before retesting? If not, you will get ridiculous speeds like 27MBs down...
  20. First time there and got these results...test doesn't seem to be accurate.
  21. [move][glow=green,2,300]AWESOME!!!...AWESOME!!!...AWESOME!!![/glow][/move]
  22. Damn!! It appears that we will be getting 6000/768 instead of the aforementioned 5000/768. Comcast is about to shut it down baby! I can feel it! Check this out: Comcast expected to raise broadband speeds
  23. I also voted for 1 month. Non-members should only get certain benefits after joining.
  24. If you put the recommended number in the Initial size(MB), what do you put in the Maximum size(MB)? When I press set, it gives me a message stating that need to "enter a numeric value for the maximum page file size".
