I dont know... I upload on the internet at about 140ish and my upload tests at 1.2mbps.. If you figure in the overhead is should put me right around the 152 converted.. I have no idea what type of connection I have here at Purdue.. but it is fast..

you can tweak that connection like mad.. we have tons of people who have the same package as you and they are running over 5000kbs... The upload come into to play when you are gaming.. 425 isnt a bad score.. you can do just about anything that you want.. BTW welcome to the forum! that is really odd... Since cox gave you that modem as part of your package... You shouldnt have to spend more money just to get the speeds that you paid for.. Glad to hear it is working! Linksys modems kick ass..

I was on comcast at home.. I found that tweaking on comcast doesnt seem to help very much.. they seem to push as much bandwidth to each client as they can ask long as the network speed maintains a constant speed...

i am not a motorola rep so i am not positive on the error codes but what it looks like it when your isp changes you IP address, looks like you are dyanmic, you are having connection problems.. It also looks like you ISP isnt using all of the field that the modem is looking for.. When the SW Upgrade Failed Before Download - Server not Present ... dont worry about that because the modem is getting it a different way.. I dont know why it your connection is having speed problems..

you might be on an AP with high traffic... that would cause a high drop in speed... also depending on where the ap is located you could be receiving interfierence..
