all you had to do was restart in safe mode and it would have taken care of the problem.. about 99% of the time you can have something like that resolved..

been there done that... it is ok... it tends to make sites look a little different.. I had my parents run that for a while but the spyware just kept on coming.. then i move them to firefox.. no more..

if you are looking for a host.. check with your isp.. they normally have free hosting that comes with you service.. it isnt anything great but it will get the job done.. you will also have a long url but that is ok.. you can go to shorturl.com and get a different one..

i like the GUI.. but as just about everyone else said it is really inaccurate..

try sweeping in safe mode.. that could get rid of the spyware... it could be memory based so when you go into safe mode it only loads the stuff that you need to run windows.. no extras...

go about 3/4 of the way down.. it says removal intstuctions... Again it might be how your have your security on your browser set up.. but it also might not be... you could just use firefox and not have to worry about the activex thing to begin with...

this all depends one who you are connecting to... and how much they are uploading/downloading..

both ends would have to be directional...

directional means that you have to aim it at the other end.. it is like a gun instead of a bomb...

yeah.. there is another one that is even cheaper.. i just need to find it.. it has about a 1.5 to 3.9 mile range.. directional only.. but hey.

Cable might be out there.. DSL is ok.. but if you can get cable it would be well worth it..

do you mean geographically?? then see who/what area has the highest speed?? Maybe a tweak contest?

just because it says open doesnt mean that they dont monitor your stats... Open my guess would mean that there isnt a set speed.. it just depends on how they feel... Otherwise you could have a nice little hosting farm on that connection..

current speeds?? make sure that your system is clean.. download AGV antivirus and spysweeper... this will make sure that your results are real and that your system is clean..
