Yes, those are the cards/cores.. API is going to be released around the same time as Vista.. so I doubt that any current cards are going to support DX 10

I am running a server with Suse 10, firewall with Smoothwall, and the linksys router with ddwrt.. However, I dont use it for my main os.. I guess I have never seen the need to run it as my main os.. I dont have problems with my system.

does it look like this for the broadcom one? Also take a screen shot of what you are having problems with.. I can picture it but I am not sure I am "seeing" the right thing...

Ok.. if it can get on the lan then it should be working ok.. things to check.. Make sure that the chipset driver for the computer is installed.. this is extremely important for the Centrino based notebooks. Second thing, did you install the modem? That will also come up as a network interface. Third, for some reason USB 2.0 is a pain to install. This should install with the chipset drivers.. it might take a few restarts to kick in but everything should be working.. As long as you are getting an IP address on the wireless and ethernet nic it should get internet.. That is for linux based installs my guess would be.. Broadcom is fully supported by Microsoft.
