The file could be set to hidden.. Try going to my computer, tools, folder options, view tab, scroll down to show hidden files and folders.. Then in find the correct location and go and remove it.

Most of the time safemode scan will take care of these that load into memory on start up
  5. i guess steve has a sweating problem.. us see him when he got everyone to chant developers..
  6. http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/the-history-of-microsoft funny.. just watch.. The CES 2005 clip is really funny!
  7. You are going to be able to adjust the power output with the new firmware.. try the stock antenna first then if you need a better one hit ebay..
  8. if you want it tonight or tomorrow.. just get it at bestbuy..
  9. At this point it is kinda late.. I would look for the best 2 day if you can.. the order isnt going to be processed til tomorrow.. so it will leave friday.. and then if you dont specify Sat delivery then it is going to be delivered on monday.. If you have bestbuy.. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?categoryid=pcmcat25300050001&id=1134701703049&skuid=7666821&type=product&DCMP=KNC-TLC&ref=25&loc=PGR Mine carries it so I am sure that yours will..
  10. mini was make for so that you could get standard on there.. there was a file upload size limit that linksys put on there.. after you got mini running then you could flash to standard or any of the other.. you are going to be uploading the buffalo version..
  11. interesting.. if you do go with it let me know how it turns out!
  12. yeah maybe.. dont know for sure the process.. i would go with the linksys if possible.. I have had no problem with mine what so ever. Just make sure you get the right version.
  13. http://www.testmy.net/forum/t-12222 there is the guide.. from what I can see.. yes it will support that router.. I have never tried it on anything else other than a linksys wrt-54g.. If you have update firmware in the past it should be easy for you. If you mess up you could "brick" the router causing it to not function correctly or at all. Any features that are currently available on the router will still exist.. so if it says it can go 125mbps, theroidical, then it will support this with the new firmware. I am also pretty sure that you can flash back.. I am going to have to check just to make sure.
  14. Welcome to the forum! What package do you have?
  15. if it is dsl there is nothing you can do.. the router is most likely is the modem also.. I think that is how BT has it set up?
  16. it really isnt as hard as you would think.. i would recommend getting the cpu installed out of the case then installing the mobo into the case..the wire everything.. cards, hard drives, memory... I think the fastest that I have got one built was about 20 min.. We had to get everything out of the packaging.. the only thing that take some skill is mounting the cpu onto the motherboard.. I think the retention clips have changed since then.. you use to have to use a screw driver to get the heatsink on.. That is the only part that would provide sweet pit stains.. other than that it is pretty straight forward.
  17. 24 pin pin in the new standard.. it is the 4 pin with the 20 pin connected.. I would make sure that that ps has sata and PCI-E connections also.. otherwise you are going to have to upgrade to get those.. Unless you use a molex to Sata cable.
  18. yeah that looks about right.. i think newegg carries that.. I bought a few of their dreamer cases? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811144170 <- that should be it..
  19. just because they apply doesnt mean that they will ever do it.. They might offer a version of their computers that are not software specific.. However, I dont think Jobs will ever give up on Mac OS..
  20. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/mp10/getmore/plugins.aspx#DVDDecoder take a look at that..
  21. very cool congrats!
  22. Here is the review for the Netgear.. http://www.tomsnetworking.com/2005/10/11/review_sc101/ I personally wouldnt buy it from dlink, netgear, or linksys.. They are out to get you.. Here is another option that, if I didnt have a dedicated box, I would have looked into: http://www.tomsnetworking.com/2005/10/11/review_sc101/ The other thing that I was looking into was Toshiba's Magnia SG30.. Now it has mail, ftp, and web.. however, not all of them are accessable to the internet.. But it does routing, firewall, and storage.. http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/network-devices/toshiba-magnia-sg30/toshiba_magnia_sg30.pdf#search='Toshiba%20Magnia%20SG30' and it baby brother: http://cdgenp01.csd.toshiba.com/content/brochures/brochure_magniaSG20_Astaro.pdf#search='Toshiba%20Magnia' It run a distro of linux.. so you could add smoothwall my guess would be.. but that has yet to be done. Maybe that will be my next project
  23. http://www.tomsnetworking.com/2006/03/03/infrant_readynas_nv/index.html take a look at that.. I personally like using a computer for this type of setup.. so that if you want to run other programs you can still do that. With a NAS box.. storage is all that you get.
  24. I got it for about 65 yes on ebay.. the price has gone up a lot since then.. There was one on there with out a hard drive for 59 last week.. Keep your eyes open..
