Depends really, from about 30 feet all the way up. With some easy modifications you can easily double the range of the wifi signals your pc can see.

Welcome to the site. Your question really depends on alot of things. If you are downloading from a server half way accross the world probably half of that if you are lucky. If you are doing a speedtest here probably close to that. Try this out and post your results. http://www.testmy.net/speedtest/dual_load.php Just pick your server once you hit the link. Try both.

So is it practical to switch to using only Linux or best to keep both options/dual boot?
