  1. Im not popular.
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3dbILovGaw I have an LG phone and could not even find the service menu, but someone else may have better luck. I have read this works on other phones than LG and alot of people had luck with it. Actually just makes your phone use your ISP for internet access. Nice.
  3. :icon_colors: Happy New Years.
  4. I always love to see new people. Especially new people helping new people. Thats what this place is all about. You dont have to worry if your question is a "rookie question", nobody here will give you shit, everyone has to learn EVERYTHING they know at one point. Just hang out and have fun guys. Glad to have ya both.
  5. Yup, bonter got it right (Welcome to the forum by the way, havent seen you here before). If it does support dual layer it will tell you. The + or - has nothing to do with dual layer really. That being said the blank dual layer dvd are still kinda pricy, Id stick with the good ol regulars. But you obviously dont want to do that. :haha:
  6. My friend has one and "loves it" cnet is my choice for reviews as well. I trust them.
  7. Cmon man you know me better than that I don't drink... You could put a lil "cigarette" in its mouth though. But you could put a Miller Lite in there for you and the other boys. I love you guys.
  8. It would be big and fat, with a wife beater on and the belly hanging out. It would have a huge smile on its face. I would love it.
  9. Welcome to the site man, we are glad to have you. I think what Dlewis and the others are saying is right, maybe they are not explaining it in depth enough. What they mean is where you live is FAR away from the server we use to test your speed. So when you test, the information has to go all the way around the world and that is slowing you way down. When someone from the USA tests they are close to the server that we test with, you are just FAR away from us and that is effecting your test score. Hope this helps. The others have done a great job with helping you, I just wanted to welcome you and clarify a little.
  10. :2funny: Ya learn some stuff with time. Yea but then this wouldn't be testmy, it would be some sort of other boring forum where discussions are kept on tract and Shugs are not allowed to roam.
  11. :2funny: :2funny: Ass. Ok, mogramjo gets 20 testmy bucks. She would get more but I know she used google.
  12. Thats another big plus about buying a mp3 player that is not an ipod. You can usually add songs very easily where as with ipod you must use their software or some software. Good point, thanks for pointing that out.
  13. Well what the hell is the answers. Dammit man. Oh and congrats on the post, but you know RTB is gonna come guy and tell you what a dirty whore of a spammer you are... right... you do know that. Cause its gonna happen. :2funny:
  14. If you are going to think of a rear project, I would recommend none other than my model.I researched it alot. It comes in three screen sizes 50, 55 and 60. It received better reviews than all other TVs in its category at cnet. It smoked alot of plasmas and lcds. The bulb life is rated at 8000 hours, I'm not worried about that. It doesn't get screen burn in either which is a huge plus. Also consider the Samsung DLP. It gets rave reviews and looks nice. The people at avsforums like the two TVs and they are professionals. You should read at the forums and check out www.cnet.com for some advice on TVs. They have video you can watch of each TV while they review it.
  15. Yea I have had mine for a couple years I think and my battery is fine. My dog chewed up my ear phones but the ipod works fine. As far as your link, if you want a no frills kinda mp3 player that one will do just fine. It will play music as well as the rest and has good storage at a good price. It doesnt do fancy stuff like video that the pricier mp3 players do (ipod nano). What are you wanting to do with this ipod?
  16. Your so cute when you get jealous of my tv. You know you want it.
  17. Yea they keep em in stock. I wondered that too and called Sony about a replacment bulb for a tv I had long ago and they still had them. They were on sale too.
  18. Man I bought a Hitachi ultravision almost four years ago. I sold it a year ago to a friend of mine. It still looked like the day I bought it. As far as I know he hasnt replaced the bulb but I will ask. I use a low brightness setting any way, I follow most all of the tweeks at avsforums. Those guys KNOW what they are doing. They got this stuff down.
  19. No no it lasts MUCH longer than that. Let me read my manual. http://reviews.cnet.com/Sony_KDS_60A2000/4505-6484_7-31901232.html Thats over 5 years of average tv viewing acording to avsforums. That is very nice. Its an awesome tv man. I have read alot of avsforum posts of people having this tv since it was introduced and the bulb is still "like new". Im sure those guys use it alot and from what I read the bulb life has been increased since it was released. I think it was 5000 hours when it was released last year or so.
  20. http://reviews.cnet.com/4566-6490_7-0.html?tag=dir&sort=edRating7+desc These are sorted by review score. From highest to lowest. Cnet is pretty reliable for reviews. Once you get to the bottom of the page you can hit next. There are almost 700 reviewed in all. Hope this helps. In my opinion 1gb is enough and anything over 2gb is really a waist. Just paying more for space you probably dont need. oops I almost forgot to say... [move]Hi Granpa Dude!!![/move]
  21. I don't consider rear projection to be a downfall. Aside from bulb replacement (every three year maybe) there are no drawbacks. Its thin, light, no burn in (plasma burns horribly). Its great. I have not tried over the air HD as I have just purchased it not long ago. I am going to put my ps3 on it soon and do blu ray. I expect to be dazzled. Also I am getting dishnetwork since they carry the most hd channels.
