@Djay Your are you sure the speed unit in kbps or in kBps? if in kbps then your speed is really slow (kilobits per second = kbps). my speed test ::.. Download Stats ..::: Download Connection is:: 532 Kbps about 0.5 Mbps (tested with 579 kB) Download Speed is:: 65 kB/s Tested From:: https://testmy.net/ (Server 1) Test Time:: 2007/06/27 - 7:47pm Bottom Line:: 9X faster than 56K 1MB Download in 15.75 sec Tested from a 579 kB file and took 8.922 seconds to complete Download Diagnosis:: Awesome! 20% + : 33 % faster than the average for host (180.178) D-Validation Link:: https://testmy.net/stats/id-WRQHOCJF1 User Agent:: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0.0.4 [!]

-
@ripclawph disable mo yung ibang naka install sa Local Area connection properties. Only the TCP/IP ( internet protocol ) and Client for Microsoft Network lang ang itira. or pede na din yung TCP/IP lang
-
@ripclawph , you have an excellent microwave link to the base station. I am very sure basestation ang problemado. Alam ko kasi no matter how you tweak your PC , the bandwidth is very low mabagal talaga yung speed mo. The best thing you can do is to email your speedtest to the TSR of smartbro. make a documentation of your speedtest and complaints. dito mo padala: customercare@ smart.com.ph . They will response quickly on email complaints kaysa itawag mo sa TSR.
-
@jonathan, possible cause ang base station because parati yun nagfluctuate ang bandwidth. and it could also be your antenna parameters (RSSI is less than 500 and jitter is high)
-
@freelancerage you will need a default plug to reset your canopy.
-
waaaa error again. 70 Kilobytes per second!!!!
-
I have to correct my self its 70 KBps not kbps. sorry
-
Hello simmie, I guess u do have different canopy version (either antenna and or firmware). Your results before tweaking are quite high (384kbps - max published download rate by Smart) Based on my observation the maximum download rate is around 70 kbps.
-
same here... maybe it's not really our destiny.hehehe

http://www.mydestiny.net/ <=== ito yung link ng 999 per month na 3Mbps download bro. now my speed test latest:
-
Please take a look at my speed test result kani at ngayon. see the difference ang layo. SMARTBRO really sucks... If ako sa inyo guys if you are from manila or near cities, try nyo inquire MY DESTINY DSL, 999 parin pero 3 Mbps ang download rate. Unfortunately di pa available sa aking area.
-
hello peepz, relax lang muna, observe for few more days. I'm sure marami na rin kau tweaks na itry sa pc. much better if wala muna gawin para di mafrustrate. If you observe na bumuti yung speed, have a record and will be the basis for complaints. Sa akin opinion okay na yung PC ko kasi yung basestation lang talaga ang problemado. So I don't have to tweak and tweak again cause I know optimal na ang PC ko. latest result ko: basestation po talaga ang may sala. 100 % sure. @drizzt pede naman idisable yung QoS, itira lang ang Internet Protocol at at Client for Microsoft sa Local Area Connection Properties

Myth - "Disabling QoS will free up the 20% bandwidth reserved by QoS." Reality - "As in Windows 2000, programs can take advantage of QoS through the QoS APIs in Windows XP. 100% of the network bandwidth is available to be shared by all programs unless a program specifically requests priority bandwidth. This "reserved" bandwidth is still available to other programs unless the requesting program is sending data. By default, programs can reserve up to an aggregate bandwidth of 20% of the underlying link speed on each interface on an end computer. If the program that reserved the bandwidth is not sending sufficient data to use it, the unused part of the reserved bandwidth is available for other data flows on the same host." - Source

@Anchorman lolzz, Illegal? No its not illegal even you change your speed slower than a dialup hehehe. who cares? If u ask me I want my speed to be as fast as Gigabits / second. lolz.

My Smart Bro (Wi-fi) internet connection speed
jun101ph replied to overboost's topic in Smart Bro (Wi-fi)
My latest -
sorry po hrs lang po
-
usually mga 6 to 12 day bago magrestore @grift3r

Based on experience, 2 weeks yung pinakamatagal na nanawala yung internet connection ko. Akala ko nga nasira ko yung antenna kasi kinakalikot ko hehehe yung base station pala yung may sira. Before I have a problem on high latency sa ping test to 10.0.0.1 and ang daming request timed out.
-
wow! clearly a base station problem. di na yan makuha sa tweak.
