  1. @coolbuster I've been doing that for a long time already.. I think, for them, there's no such thing as redirecting(like when you call inside a business firm and you have to use "Locals"). They do all the "press 1, press 2 thingy" just to divert your attention and for them to have additional time to accommodate all of the furious subscriber shouting their heart out to SmartBro Cust Serv. Reps. That's just a hypothesis though.. Good Night Guys!!
  2. @ coolbuster kindly post your PForward settings so it can be used by everyone. Is Comodo Firewall a better firewall than Windows'? Good Day!!
  3. @coolbuster Nah... I don't drink beer but Orange Juice may be good enough! haha!! Cheers Guys!! Straight!! Good day!
  4. @lantiz Have you tried updating your LAN Card diver? Sometimes that may be the problem.. Also, double check all of the following: 1. Your wiring 2. Check your computer for malware, spyware, trojans and viruses. 3. Make sure that your computer hardware's firmwares are up-to-date. 4. Uninstall unneeded programs. 5. Disable unnecessary process. 6. Don't run many programs at the same time(unless you got lots of RAM) Post back if there's any improvement. P.S. Please speak English so other people from other country(in case they stumble here in our forum) can help you in your problem. Good day!!
  5. @coolbuster Woah!! 512kbps? That's way more better than this crappy SmartBro! But are you you you want to switch to PLDT? I mean, there are many complaints against them too!! Give me an idea coz im already planning to switch to other ISP. Even tho' my contract will expire next year!! I'm just hoping for the best!! Good Evenin'!
  6. @ coolbuster I think they're busy right now.. Tnx to you, the forum is kept alive and so with the other guys!!
  7. @ coolbuster Maybe SmartBro is cost-cutting for more profit... More (disappointed subscriber and future subscriber) + low end systems and services(due to cost-cutting) = more profit!! Haha!! Peace out!! Good day!!
  8. @ coolbuster You're right, testmy.net is no doubt the better bandwidth test for us Smart Bro users.. And based on observation, my results in speedtest.net are inaccurate and inconsistent.. And of course TM.N has the best forum!! haha! Good Day!!
  9. @ everybody esp on elijahpaul I have to make some additions, yesterday, i went to Ace Hardware and asked them about the CAT 5 and RJ-11 Plug, but the clerk said that it is not an RJ-11 but instead, a 6-pin RJ-45.. He added that RJ-11 are used in phone lines and dialup connections.. Hope that helps!! Good day!!
  10. @ coolbuster How do you forward ports? Isn't it that port forwarding is not supported by smartBro? What software do you use? And also, what firewall are you using? Windows Firewall? You have to include uTorrent in the exceptions right? Good Day!!
  11. @grift3r74 I also agree to you.. It don't matter cause in any angle you look at it, smartbro's offer of speeds sucks... It doesn't even touch the U.S. standards.. SmartBro <---
  12. @ castoy post if there's any problem with that troubleshooting tips so we can further analyze what's the problem, but right now, just monitor it and see if it keeps on reseting.
  13. In addition to coolbuster's point, make sure that ur Canopy is not configured to reset to factory settings.. check out the screenie...(again). Go to configuration then to Unit Settings(The last tab among them) then make sure the restore to factory settings is disabled. Hope it helped!! Good day!
  14. @ just- Thanks for the reply. But for security purposes, ill not issue/show my ip add.. You know, just to avoid being hacked!! hahaha!! I'll just wait for more replies!! Tnx man!!
  15. @ castoy Try checking all the link speeds in your Canopy Page.. Check all of 'em including the 100 Base T Half and Full Duplex. And also check out my screenie.. that's the link speeds that im talking about.. I haven't figured out yet what causes it but i have a hypothesis, if you are using bookmark to access your canopy, make sure that the URL is 169.254.3.3 or your designated Canopy IP address.. Accessing it in the address bar may be the cause of it so every time you access your canopy page, try typing it, just for accuracy and precision's sake!! Alright? If there's a feedback about this, kindly post here!! Off Topic: Got a Prelim test tomorrow, so I got to review!! haha!! I'll be back!! haha! Peace Out!! Good Day Guys!!
  16. @ just- Tnx for the reply! But what i mean with the X's and Y's is, IP add "X" is not the same as IP add "Y".. I guess that's the problem, how can i confirm if Smart Bro has an external ip address? And can Hide IP Platinum and other anonymity programs help me with this problem? Or even some proxy switching programs? Also check out the attached file, it is a screenie of my Rapidshare problem when downloading files.. Tnx Man!!
  17. Hey guys, Have you experienced downloading from a file sharing site and told you that you are already downloading something but you really not? Because of the fact that these file sharing sites e.g. Rapidshare.com, Megaupload.com have a security feature that you can only download one file at a time.. And you have to be a premium user to be able to go through that.. Correct me if im wrong, but our IP adresses are dynamic right? But why is it that when i go to whatismyip.com it says xxx.xxx.xxx.x? i mean, to further illustrate it... X- is my ip on my local area connection Y- is my REAL Connection(Based on the cust service rep, it is the ip add of the basestation.. So, X is not equal to Y.. I've also tried using Hide Ip Platinum and IP hider which are privacy softwares for changing ip adds for security reason.. Hope to hear from you guys!!
  18. @coolbuster Good to hear some great news from you coolbuster. We'll be looking up to that! And as for my connectivity issue, i get much stable speed with that AP with -77 dbm RSSI and a maximum of 11 jitter!!It's so weird!!! I'll try switching basestation sometime but ill just monitor this one for i guess a week... For now, ill just rest, rest, rest... I got a fever and cough!! But I'll still post here!! haha!! I'm trying to be a mainstay here and help other people too!! Good day Everyone!!
  19. @ coolbuster(again) Just an update!! I observed a much stable speeds in downloading in an AP which has a higher jitter value.. Check out the image..It's so weird man...
  20. @coolbuster The 10 Mbps Local are connection is caused by the alteration in the configuration window in the canopy page.. See Config then General Tab.. All the Link Speeds must be checked... That's just an idea and also based on experience.
  21. @coolbuster thanks for the guidelines!! it's early in the morning and i got a class to attend!! haha!! Maybe when i get home, ill rotate my antenna to another basestation... For sure ill email them... BTW, what is smart bro tech support's email addie?ill keep in touch for the results!!
  22. @coolbuster as of now, im getting intermittent speeds.. sometimes i monitor how many users are registered in my basestation.. Even though there are ONLY 18 users, i experience a major slow down.. My gosh, ive been experiencing this for about one and a half months already.. I've even tried switching basestation to no avail.. its just the same speed... I'm always clearing my cookies, browsing history and all internet files... I'm sorry for being redundant but can someone give me some help on this matter? 2 months ago, ive been experiencing good connection but now.. *sigh* Tnx for the reply tho'!
  23. OMG!!! Look at this!! this screenie was at 8:45 pm!
  24. @ coolbuster!!! OMG!! My AP's registered users are 25!! I think that's to many!! What do you think?Do i have a solid reason to switch AP?? Tnx!
  25. @ coolbuster But do you switch AP's too? Do you rotate your canopy sometimes to find a good AP?
