  1. thanks for the info @ oemchips. but im not sure if its HSDPA, anyways here's an info incase anyone's not familiar with it. High-Speed Downlink Packet Access From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA, also known as High-Speed Downlink Protocol Access) is a 3G (third generation) mobile telephony communications protocol in the High-Speed Packet Access (HSPA) family, which allows networks based on Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) to have higher data transfer speeds and capacity. Current HSDPA deployments support down-link speeds of 1.8, 3.6, 7.2 and 14.4 Mbit/s, and can provide each customer with 30 gigabytes of data per month.Further speed increases are planned for the near future. The networks are then to be upgraded to Evolved HSPA, which provides speeds of 42 Mbit downlink in its first release.

  4. i hope somebody can reveal what that USB antenna is and its specs.
  5. wow. that's great. so as long as you can receive a signal from Globe you can access the internet anytime, anywhere?
  6. that one's for Morisato.
  7. Hi everybody. In my place where there is no Globelines cable internet, i heard that Globe Broadband is promoting the use of a USB antenna. The USB antenna will catch the signal from a Globe cellsite and presto! one can access the internet. Has anyone knew or heard about this? What is this USB internet antenna called? Is it reliable and efficient Replies would be much appreciated.
  8. yes in your area there are only 3 but what about the other side of town? they will not put up a base station there if its not feasible.
  9. did you mean "incompetent"?
  10. hey guys, i would just like to post my uTorrent screenie. i got a high DL & UL today.
  11. just leave it blank. i'm willing to pay a hundred or three more if they require.
  12. I learned from a friend that SmartBro techs recommended DLink lan card for SmartBro. Anyone else heard this?
  13. good values already. i suspect 2 causes of slow connection on your end. 1. base station has a problem. 2. you have not cleaned your pc for viruses, trojans, spywares, junk and unwanted registry files. (please correct me if I'm wrong)
  14. ok. find an AP that has low jitter and power level and high RSSI
  15. you can always switch to a better AP if that's the case.
  16. welcome to the forum @ Morisato. thank you for sharing your exp with SmartBro CS. did you try the 20 steps already?
  17. @ karvine welcome to the forum.
  18. yea, I already did. tech support told me and even encouraged other subscribers in our area to email CS for the request. the more emails the more possible the request will be granted by tech admin. it's like the concept of a noise barrage.
  19. you're on the 300+ mark already though its on UL. when you have high upload, there must be something wrong with your base station. the scenario would be: there's a lot of users downloading and a few are uploading when you had the speed test.
  20. hey! i can live with that. a bowl of soup... with a lotta chicken drumsticks in it.
  21. nothing new mr. steel, except that I emailed CS this evening to request the upgrading from 384 kbps to 512 kbps of each residential line in my area.
  22. for those who are new in this thread, here's a link to the first page http://www.testmy.net/t-20438.0
  23. as long as you can access your canopy. it is better to adjust until getting good results.
