then its not your computer... try power-cycling your modem...

it must be your connection then, you are at the same settings as before now... are you connected through a router? also try power-cycling your modem

the only thing i would like to change is, with any router i know of, any type of cable can be used (crossover or not) routers automatically switch over the wires when necessary, same with switches

safe mode loads only the minimum required files for windows to run, so there is a very small chance that any spyware can run
