what did you change to fix it? it sounds like the p2p program was opening the max number of allowed connectoins through something, and wasnt letting anything else get a connection...

Yea, this is MAJOR advertisement for Direcway. I'll bet USA Today will get virtually unlimited bandwidth and top service priority. After all, who cares about all us home users that have to suffer for the big businesses to get all the bandwidth... Hey, maybe thats why they dont say anything about the FAP when u sign up... maybe the big businesses have no FAP, we have it so we cant slow them down for more than an hour... Downloading at my normal speed (about 100KBs) i get FAPed in about 30 minutes... then im down for the count while the businesses get even more bandwidth to use...

this would probably end up like the karma system did a while back...

well, supposedly, you can have T1 run to your house where ever you are, if you really want to fork up some cash...

you dont need fiber, T1 is not guaranteed 1.544Mbs, only that it is the same up and down. T1 is extremely expensive to install, and also has very expensive monthly rates.

with dsl your speed drops very significantly the farther you are from the ISP

they must have mistaken horses for camels when they built your modem...

His ISP is Direcway, i can almost guarantee you can't get those speeds from a DW6000 without uncapping it. The only thing we don't know is his OS
