  3. Yea, its possible... satellite is CAPABLE of incredible speeds... but we have DirecWay limiting us... you want to hear speed? My best download burst was 10MB in 2 seconds... with DirecWay... then it dropped to 80KBs...
  4. welcome to the forum nice
  5. cached test? or burst speed? ive gotten 40Mbs tests before with DirecWay...
  6. I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt anyone gets 10Mbs on DirecWay, except maybe major businesses, because large businesses that like their service=more advertising=more people suckered into their crap=much more money for DirecWay... His speeds might be faster than the average DirecWay user, but i doubt anywhere near 10Mbs (unless he found a way to uncap it)
  7. you have to pay for Opera, IE has low encryption, is full of security holes, and never works right (for me anyway)
  8. Try this one... remember to reboot after applying the settings...

  13. Heres what I know... 1) i dont know, probably 2) yes, one block can make quite a difference with DSL (i dont know about that much of a difference) 3) a slow computer definitely doesnt help your speed 4) it is possible, yes... if the modem hasnt updated its software, the cap wouldnt be changed
  14. heres an idea for a avatar...i could maybe animate it... what would you like for a sig?
  15. its decent, i dont know how accurate that test is though... try one here...
  16. Yea, by the time something hit the ground (or a person) in about 8-9 seconds, it would be going well over 130mph. About anything can cause serious damage at that speed...
  17. yea, we know you are... what else is new?

the loss on those IPs doesnt have anything to do with your computer, its a problem with wires/routers along the route... go to http://www.dslreports.com/tweaks , run the test, and paste the URL here... can you download and install Cablenut? http://www.testmy.net/topic-1013

    Slow download speeds

hi mikero and welcome to the forum it looks like: 12.123.13.154 12.122.11.93 12.122.10.26 12.122.10.49 12.123.196.101 70.85.127.61 70.85.127.83 all block pings, so thats not a problem on your end... go to start-run-cmd, type ping 12.119.136.14 -n 100 and paste the results here... are you currently using any tweaks? Your low speed could also be a problem due to recent upgrades and testing in your area also...
