  1. Only a dumbass would hack a personal site (and it's happened to me... ) It is a bad idea to hack a business site, yes, but what's the point of hacking a personal site? "Ooh, look at me, I can hack a site someone set up to test their code out and host pictures, I'm leet, y0!" Morons.
  2. It's really the best way to go (Notepad++ actually ) You get complete control over what's going on. (Plus you can't really WYSIWYG edit server side scripts)
  3. With a Dell, you might be able to press F12 on bootup and use the Dell recovery tool to reformat and reinstall Windows..

  5. Welcome to the forum If you're looking for a name of who it belongs to, you would have to contact the ISP and they may or may not tell you assuming you have a good reason, but your chances are slim.

  7. Stealth is better than closed, which is (much) better than open. Stealth is defintely preferrable.
  8. Try the 579kB test with both and see what happens... it'll take a while but will be more accurate as well.

  12. You can't really do anything to get more detail. You could maybe sharpen it to make it look clearer, but you can't make more detail than the picture has. (The reason digital zoom on cameras really isn't that useful)
  13. Just a tip... most sites don't appreciate hotlinking of their files. (So they block hotlinking and replace the image you want with something else)

    Well, you could get one elsewhere... but there's probably not much you can do without spending at least a few dollars. What about PCMCIA slots?

    something like this just search for usb ethernet or something... these won't work as well as a NIC, but they do work.

  21. I have Ubuntu with Gnome on my main computer (with Windows) My home server is running Debian Sarge (KDE, but I almost never have the GUI running) I also have a Smoothwall box.
