  1. Ok, I think you have a different setup than me... when I click the mouse wheel, this cursor pops up and I can move the mouse to scroll in any direction continuously...
  2. Of course it has administrator privileges... there's just a setting somewhere in my account that isn't letting me use Windows Update properly... and its not just my account either... I have yet to get a XP computer to connect to the Windows Update site properly on my connection without using the Administrator account.
  3. I don't understand your response very well... clicking with the wheel allows you to scroll in any direction at almost any speed...
  4. Are you sure you're hooking the cable up to the right ports on the hub?
  5. That would explain it... I never delete anything... too often I need something AFTER I delete it... I just put unneeded things in storage folders about once a month.
  6. If the person who started the topic decides to come back 2 or 3 months later with either the same problem or wanting to say thanks or such, and can't do this, they aren't very happy... there is other reasons but I can't think of them off the top of my head...
  7. That is possible I believe, but problems can arise with a topic that was locked for age...
  8. Well, you can click with the wheel and move the mouse a little bit to the left or right...
  9. SMF 1.1 has a feature to warn about posting if the topic is old... its still in beta though and requires a manual upgrade
  10. php

    cd copy

We were considering locking old threads, but on the off chance the person who started the topic decides to come back 3 months later and tries to post in the topic again... problems could arise...
  11. I would be happy if I had more variety... I have to log on as the administrator acount to update windows... and more tiny problems that get annoying... c'est la vie At least FF lets me be a bit more happy
  12. faster: it was way faster for me, especially at rendering pages (and it can be tweaked to be even faster) safer: it supports double the encryption that IE does easier: I constantly have some problem or another with IE... and I can't really "reinstall" it to fix the problems
  13. :haha: Still got all your birdies up there?
  14. that may be, but if the problem was solved (which I believed it was at the time) posting additional help is pointless...
  15. pitbull: I gave him the link to this topic in the first reply

  20. weelll... by putting on my thinking cap, I just happened to notice that he signed on June 19, 2005. Typically, no response means the problem is fixed and the person is either too lazy or I dunno, maybe scared? to leave a response that the problem is fixed. Did you ever notice how many people post their problems, and how few noobs post right away how much this site has helped them? They all only ask for help, then maybe say thanks. I think I saw one, maybe 2 people join the forum to post how much this site helped them in the past month, while on the other hand, there was probably hundreds that joined just to ask for help and leave. P.S. I don't care if you were the 100th, 1000th, or 10,000th person to join the site... I have spent more time online here than ANYONE else... except maybe CA3LE, but he isn't always logged on when he is working on the site. P.S. P.S. I never said the thread was closed, I said it was dead...
  21. yea, um... wtf are you talking about?
  22. Yea, ISPs cap... that's what makes it so you can't get over your advertised speed (by much anyway) If the connection wasn't capped, the only limit to your speed would be the capabilities of the hardware...
  23. Any OS that supports both partition types should be able to read both... edit: my bad lol... I thought you were asking the question cholla
  24. This was over on March 8! Give it a rest already. BTW, I believe you can get a domain name with no-ip... the subdomain is free though
