  1. It has worked on a fresh install, but after a few months it doesn't work as I said before... I have yet to get XP to update without using the administrator account... the only exception has been that a fresh install worked once... but all the other fresh installs I've used don't... Also... did you ever try to update using DirecWay? I believe that is my problem...
  2. Thanks I might need to work on a version for older OSes though
  3. yea, but I can see certain commands don't work in ME like they do in XP... the main part of the program still works right though
  4. Well, I can see Windows ME doesn't support a lot of what I have in there... just the basic stuff... not a major issue, but it would be nice to get it to work... I'll have to do some research on that
  5. It should keep its letter even if you remove it and reconnect it... I think Windows XP is a lot better at reserving letters for specific drives...
  6. Yea, you can... but if the drive letter changes for any reason, the game won't run (as long as you don't add or remove drives, this won't happen...

As far as I know, The Reverend was NOT a female... and no, Magyver is not the Reverend, you can tell just by the writing style
  8. lol Everyone's looks pretty good (No errors) It would be nice to see someone with an older OS test it... I have no way to test it on anything but XP (dumped Win98SE within months of XP coming out) I'd like to see if it works on ME, 98, maybe 2000 or NT if anyone has them
  9. IE is the only way a virus or the like has gotten into my system...
  10. It might get you somewhere... shouldn't hurt to try (just try to be at least semi-polite )
  11. No problem, even though I hardly did anything...but I agree with REV0LUTI0NIZED... I'll be around The router could possibly slow you down, try connecting directly to your modem...
  12. Probably a node that blocks all ICMP traffic from passing through...
  13. looks good (not the ping times though ) edit: My most recent batch project (besides this one) was to start 4 programs that I use, just by running the batch file. (I didn't want to have them run at Windows startup because they made Windows take a lot longer to fully load)
  14. Heh.. interesting... your IP isn't any one of the IPs in the tracert... maybe a good thing to know... (that people aren't revealing their IPs accidently by posting the log) Edit: I found a very minor bug, fixed it, and replaced the archive on my first post The log wasn't being cleared properly
  15. Yup, looks all good there
  16. Try a larger file size when you test... use Larger or Largest
  17. Wow, you're half a day off from me VampireXxX

    Lsass.exe

Thanks.. I thought of it because the machine I'm working on has a nasty virus that blocks explorer.exe, iexplore.exe, and Automatic Updates from running (maybe more that I haven't found yet)
  20. I could use a few people to test out the new version of my autocheck program... It's attached to this message, just download, extract, and run autocheck.bat. It creates a log in the folder it is located in, as well as copying the log to the clipboard. I would appreciate it if you checked that the log exists, and that its contents are in your clipboard by pasting it here (just press Ctrl+V in the message box to paste it). I would like to see the logs to make sure everything is working properly. Thanks in advance ~php edit: updated version and instructions can be found here
  21. Is either of the cables a crossover cable? Or are they both patch cables...
