Mines basic . Earthlink cable. Our "upgraded " is 8000 / 768 . As for gaming the 512 would be a help since your ping time (latency) would be better, but for 70 bucks a month, id say no. Stick with what you have. difference between 386 up and 512 up is only about 19 kbs. So double your monthly bill for 19 kbs isnt worth it at all btw what is your current upload ?

Im not having problems loggin in, but the tesats will barely transfer me with over 400 peeps on the site. I have to wait about 15- > 30 sec last speed test i got 2999 or 3 mbs... ...

just save your files... move them to the other account/. delete your account, then create another account with the same name as before and drag over your files. That will clear any errors on your side because winjdows thinks you started over

hmm .... I unno. Some test scores are at 16 mb and others at 55 , 56 mb? I think your getting cached results due to the school's hardware FW. 16 on a widely used school connection would be amazing, but 56 is a little hard to believe is true

Need to see what my ping will be if a friend hosts a server and whatnot But yea, even with all the xp firewalls closed, im still not pingable, nor is my comcast friend in NJ, or my RR friend in brooklyn =( Luckly i have the router, so i can become pingable if needed to host a game server.

lol nah. 768 up isnt realy all that great anymore either... 80 kb/s up ? I think that 1 or 2 up would be much better because you transfer things to people and places at high rates , meaning that itnwould take MUCH less time, meaning you wouldnt need to use the upload for a long period of time like we do now with 40 kbs

van, With alot of companies now, if your not on a router your unpingable. I used to have perfect results from the tweak test when going thru the router. Now that i have no second ( or third ...or 4th ) computer , im just going directly thru the modem.... which makes me "unpingable" -TTEST 3.
