Absolutely, Plus my favorite feature provided is I can go back and say ( I do not care what your recommended Tests say) I have a list of test dates and results and look at this date it drops to ?? ( Whatever) when for SO long I was in this range and yet now ( My Reliable And documented) site shows something wrong so you need to fix it . End of conversation until you fix your end period. I found a long time ago that 90% (well Maybe at 80% now) of their suggestions and or excuses are 100% BS. I once argued with a tech and finally got so upset I said next you're going to say the reason my speed is slow is because I have a black cat . Thanks for the Logo ill get to work on that ASAP. I should have it on my xfinity cr and truck before next race ( well tomorrow is xfinity race but ill try ) This was supposed to post sunday but did not for some reason

SO funny after you mentioned what to do with Xfinity , in the mail arrived a letter showing all new packages we were elidgable for. SO supposedly we now have 1 Gig down/40Mbps up need to hardline it to be sure. BTW I mentioned the site in a Iracing pre race setup and the guy who does all our Streaming and brodcasting/analyzing uses your site a lot to be sure his system is up to snuff. Plus I sent my teamate over to check you out and be sure his connection is good. Oh I just had a great Idea do you have any .jpegs or special graphics you would like to see on a Iracing Truck or car and truck? I have some space on my Xfinity, Monster Energy and Gander outdoor truck id be happy to add your logo . For al the help you have provided and the ability to show xfinity how I have a log of tests I can pull when thir crap goes south it is the least I can do. I just need a jpg, or so you would like to see on a vehicle.

Oh Heck, That would be amazing,Though for LOORS you may need to have the EMT's on hand and a good Neurosurgeon and some of those landings are going to be painful. If these things accurately respond as if in the actual vehicle. I have no idea but I assume these are in the Multiple thousands as far as $$? I Know I have seen the Wheel-Pedal setups that are over $1500 and I believe I seen one of these Cube/Cockpit setups with the actuators running around $8K alone without pedals, wheel etc. I have the Logitech G920 setup with Pedals and add on G-Force shifter ( I got a great deal on it used) Normally around $300 for pedal and wheel and $80 for Shifter I paid $200. My biggest problem now is my GPU is running at it's limit and that is with some graphics settings turned to low or Off. I need to start building a dedicated system just for iRacing, Which really is a great idea as some things I would not need like a Huge HD, More the 16GB Ram, CPU I can get by with a say Low to mid Range PC in those regards but the GPU needs to have at least 4Gb ram and be a GTX1060 or better ( with ability to do Triple monitors and or VR. I have heard though that VR can cause motion Sickness and I Get motion Sick super easy so VR maybe off the table. ( I had issues with new glasses making me sick at first) heck even took me a few days with a 32" monitor ( finally set at proper FOV) to get where I was not a bit woozy and dizzy after a race. I noticed iRacing has added a new feature in 2019-S-3 Update that shows the IPV4 and IPV6 servers and the ping etc (though do not see the actual IP addresses. I will get a snippet if I can or at least what the info shows . I have posted some videos I made of races on you tube ( the ones within last say 2 months I started using OBS instead of the in Sim recording software which seems to work better ( OBS I can use my CPU where in sim was using GPU which is already maxed just to display replay let alone try to encode and save it as a different file. -

Nope all servers I have seen are in Boston for North America, they have 2 in Sydney , heck next time i am on I will look at what servers say for practice and get a list, I do know they have a list of them as some IPV6 and Some IPV4. and yes I have the Steering wheel, Clutch, Brake and Gas Pedals and a 6 Speed plus R HHh shifter. LOL most call them H shifters but pattern is more like if you had 2 Cap and one Lower case h combined (7 gears total including reverse ,plus whee has paddle shifter if needed) Yea it is super in depth , plus they now do LOORS (Lucas Off Road Racing Series) Pro 4 and Pro 2 Trucks, World of Outlaw Sprint cars etc. I am working on getting or building a Cockpit setup ( where Pedals, shifter, wheel, monitors ( unless using VR) is all contained in one usint with a racing seat setup . I am still using a desk like setup but it works good for now though a 2 hour race can get uncomfortable. Nothing like the 5 hour one they just ran at Charlotte I could not do that long at this time. -

here is the Latency results of speedguide.net, (Testmy.net servers) NY,LAX, SF, UK and De Notice the 3rd one is a massive 576ms (3rd Ping to speedguide.net) I wonder why Pinging [68.67.73.20] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=97ms TTL=49 Pinging [68.67.73.20] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=96ms TTL=49 Pinging [68.67.73.20] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=576ms TTL=49 Pinging [68.67.73.20] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=97ms TTL=49 Pinging [144.202.123.145] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=38ms TTL=51 Pinging [144.202.123.145] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=39ms TTL=51 Pinging [144.202.123.145] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=38ms TTL=51 Pinging [144.202.123.145] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=38ms TTL=51 Pinging [107.170.222.115] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=52 Pinging [107.170.222.115] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=52 Pinging [107.170.222.115] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=35ms TTL=52 Pinging [107.170.222.115] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=52 Pinging [207.246.91.111] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=92ms TTL=50 Pinging [207.246.91.111] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=91ms TTL=49 Pinging [207.246.91.111] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=93ms TTL=49 Pinging [207.246.91.111] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=93ms TTL=50 Pinging [45.76.133.26] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=160ms TTL=45 Pinging [45.76.133.26] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=161ms TTL=45 Pinging [45.76.133.26] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=160ms TTL=45 Pinging [45.76.133.26] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=161ms TTL=45 Pinging [199.247.19.173] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=179ms TTL=43 Pinging [199.247.19.173] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=179ms TTL=43 Pinging [199.247.19.173] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=179ms TTL=43 Pinging [199.247.19.173] with 32 bytes ->bytes=32 time=188ms TTL=43 Ping statistics for above hosts: Packets: Sent = 24, Received = 24, Lost = 0 (0% loss) Approximate round trip times (RTT) in milli-seconds: Minimum = 35ms, Maximum = 576ms, Average = 120ms Does all those other then the 576ms one look ok? Hmm I assume this means you have better servers or something then speedguide.net uses? All of your servers are much quicker and with less variation. -

Wow thanks. Ill deffinately do what you said with comcast. I do have the Phone, TV (DVR so I can record shows I am not able to watch and skip commercials especially NASCAR, NFL) and internet. I will look back at what you said to do to ping these places, Mater of fact i think that TCP Optimized thing has a section where i can enter multiple ping locations but I will try your way forst. The Host is iRacing.com I would hope they would be running top end servers since so much is on the line some races (Pro) they can win and loose a grip of $$ if service is just so so . They also have multiple servers i Have noticed, specific ones fro practices, and then others for races and when there are say over 30 people registered for a race they do what is called splits and seperate driver by rating so you race with people of similar skills. I seen a race here sat where there was over 400 people signed up and I think it had 15 servers or more . Since I am Northwest area or North america I use the MA Servers for Practice and Bos Servers for races ( I realize Boston and MA are same place but thats how they do the naming . I have not tried a practice with a server say in Sydney Australia or the ones over europe yet. OK I have no Idea why I could not copy the text but I could not so I did aSnippet. Those timed out sections that cannot be good?? -

? i have tried running the tcp optimizer, i guess it may just be what we have t deal with nowadays? or is this normal? i never paid much attention to servers across the country as I never had any issues, I feel so stupid too I got a ASUS ROG Laptop back in 2011, but was for Autocad, Solidworks, etc. Never played a single game until 2019 then i see it is just about EOL for gaming now, (But only the GPU) Which is of course specific to ASUS and this MB design. all else is perfect. -
So of course these clowns want you to use their own servers to test your speed, I guess they assume if they have good speed to the local town but then have crap everywhere else that is ok? My bi complaint is I started running iRacing ( for those going??) It is a racing simulation ( not a game like Mario Cart or Gran Turismo it uses real telemetry , laser scanned tracks etc. but lately ( I started running in january 2019) i have been noticing I blink a bit (due to higher Ping Rate/Latency) It seems to have gotten worse last say 2 weeks, I went to test my speed and I seem great to LA, SF but when I do NY (The Servers are in MA) I find way messed up speed and variations of anywhere from 80%to 144%. Now would this be a Xfinity issue they need to look into or is it actually not a Xfinity issue but just way internet is going now days? ANd to be honest from the monthly usage info I get from Xfinity I am not using much more Data then in 2018, of my 1024 Gig level they show I went from 10% monthly to 20% but also have a grandson who loves watching animals on youtube ( which BTW cannot be my issue as he is not here when these slow downs have been documented) I am already quite frustrated with the Monopoly Xfinity has as I can not get any other internet service that would be above 20 Mbps in my location and xfinity has increased my bill by about 25% , actually each month is seems it is $1-3 higher. They claim unless I want to get a security system of theirs I have no other option for any of the packages they have and to top that off I get the 200/12 Mbps internet which was supposed to increase to 400/20 for triple play packages but since mine was setup in like 2012 or so I am not included in the speed increase. i just think they need to look into this , I can see each players ping and I always seem to be in the 133 up sections where a lot of them are in the 60s etc. Even people in my NW area seem to have lower pings at least some.

SO I contacted Comcast (Xfinity) after hearing they were increasing speeds on Triple Play and Quadruple Play customers. Since I have TV,Phone,Internet I was wondering why I did not see the increase after Purchasing the ASUS USB-AC68 Wireless adapter which in AC Mode is supposed to allow 1300/1300 Speed or 1.3Gbps each direction yet my tests show 244 Mbps Down and the typical 8-12 Mbps upload. I was informed since I have been a customer for years (10+) and my current package I was not eligible for the increase from 250Mbps to the 400Mbps for other Triple Play Customers. They were telling me I had no Options available that were cheaper then the ridiculous $300+ a month I pay ( In which they increased by $8 last month for no reason I can see) My Options were to add xfinity home which I would not hardly use as someone is usually always here or we may only be gone for 30 Minutes. Unless I found that If I close one account and open a new one under a different name I can get the same exact plan with the upgraded 400 Mbps internet for $150 Before taxes about 1/2 of what I pay now. This is absolutely ridiculous.

Has anyone noticed the information in the windows 10 network properties being incorrect? I just got a new ASUS USB AC-68 adapter and in the properties it shows Link speed (Receive/Transmit): 54/1300 (Mbps) yet when I do speed tests either Via here on Via Xfinity just to have a comparison I am getting over 200 Mbps download speed which would be impossible if I truly were connected at 54 Mbps receive speed. technically the USB adapter should be 1300/1300 (Mbps) Just curious if anyone else noticed that. Now funny thing when I connect via ethernet it shows correct info as 1000/1000 (Mbps) and with my factory Wifi it shows 300/300 (Mbps) It only reads funny with the ASUS AC-68 oh and the ASUS AC-53 I bought for girlfriends computer yet when testing it downloads in the 200 + (Mbps) range.

So anyone know much about this DOCSIS 3.1 I just read about and whom if any ISP's are updated to this yet?

@Data_Addict so any update on your VPN or ability to play Games etc?

Sadly the Only alternative locally (In Portland Oregon) area is Century Link (Which last time I tried them (As Qwest) they sold me a speed tier which they could not provide so had the audacity to drop me to a lower speed but charged me for the higher one so I dumped them and swore never to use them again no matter what. Other is Frontier which Surprise Surprise I am On the West Side of Interstate 205 (which I guess Xfinity has power to deny them ability to provide service on this side) by approx 15 blocks so I was informed no service in my area. I just realized Something else that may be pertinent to this thread. I used to use a program called CCfile it allowed me to set up a custom URL name which I would give to my friend I was working on music with ( I do Vocals and Drum tracks and He does Guitar , Bass and backup vocals) Id setup a User name and password for him and he could then go online to url open a folder on my computer and download my files and upload what he had made etc. Trying to email Large .wav files is impossible but using that program was a piece of cake. then all of a sudden it stopped working. No longer could anyone access my folders I setup, Somewhere Xfinity had blocked the ports I needed open to use this program and I did not know enough at the time to trouble shoot it and pinpoint exactly what was the issue. Though I was told that they (Xfinity) Did not block any Ports they claimed I had it set up wrong or it was not compatible with my OS etc. Really sucks as it threw a huge wrench in my music project and I had spent a good deal of $$ on Top end Drum Software and recording software and hardware . Now this makes me want to set everything up again like I had it and figure out exactly what they are blocking which they have no reason or I believe right to be blocking

After reading that chat to me it sure seems you have a modem or gateway issue for sure. I just went and checked on my settings and my remote management settings are default off or disabled. Does VPN use specific ports that they ( the VPN) states as being blocked? I believe Speedguide.net and possibly Testmy.net may to have a port checker where it will show you what is blocked and what is open etc. Do you have that new Xfinity Xfi feature where you live? I noticed when they enacted it here it changed what I could do on the 10.0.0.1 portal and now makes me log in to the xfinity account and give names to connections etc Which to me is a real pain in the ......

Wow they are working the Old BS ( I say old as out here in Oregon) Lately they have had decent techs show up. But the old trick was to blame anything and everything but their connections or hardware for the problems. IE awhile back I had lost the upload section of my router ( from I think 10 Mbps at the Time to like 300Kbps) which killed any download due to lack of response I Gathered. I got so upset with the tech I asked if my cats color would be the next possibility for my issues. Mostly now unless something (is line issues) I get the hardware and install myself . Another BS trick they pull and you must watch this one is if you have the (cable protection) or line coverage plan ( used to run like $5 a month I think) they will without informing you all of a sudden drop it off your plan usually after a year or so then if you find a problem with say splitters , connections or so they will charge you the tech fee and any fees to replace any lines etc. this plan is for anything from the Mainline connection at house inside which for me is 4 separate lines 1 dedicated to the (Gateway) Dang I am so glad this post came up just realized my 2 year contract I had ends this month on like the 12th or so so I need to get in ASAP and get a new package/Tier setup before they send me a bill for like $300 or more for the month. Thanks you just save me a ton of issues.

not with VPN but I do have times where my connection speed Id say goes in the toilet but actually it goes much worse. Plus the fact they brag about how the Blast Pro is now 250 Mbps Down but when using wireless I am lucky to get 100 Mbps and I have a 300/300 Mbps wireless connection using 5 Ghz I will keep more tabs on my speed and see if they are doing anything funny. I do run a Pro Weather station that uploads its data to 3 sites every 5 minutes and one is set to upload every 5 seconds Sorry I am not more help.

Closest back to back / Most consistent speed
spudler_t replied to i2d | ScruFFy |'s topic in Show off your speed
Speed Test I think it is left open not set to Blast pro Must have open access not set to blast Pro speeds. Even Xfinity "Suggested test" Is extremely high on download, but sadly upload is at 12Mbps still -
To get all up to speed I have Xfinity Blast Pro ( Supposedly 150 Mbps/12 Mbps) Using the Cisco DPC 3941 Wireless gateway. When I look at my personal connection Data I see I am getting 300 Mbps but what I have found is after say a few days my speed drops (via online testing) down to 20-30 Mbps even though my connection speed to the gateway remains at 300 Mbps. this leads me to believe that the Gateway is having issues on the download side. I forgot to mention my upload speed stays really consistent between 11.5 and 12.5 Mbps. Any Ideas what causes this? as soon as I do a Complete Gateway Reset it goes back to close to full speed but in like 2 days I am back to Slug Speed.

Comcast upload not showing up to the party
spudler_t replied to CA3LE's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
Sweet, most I ever got was a Huge argument with a tech once that I almost knocked out, (over using their speed test and Testmynet) but that was quite a while ago and a $20 credit when tech failed to show up to deliver my Wireless Gateway. Finally (though they try to claim their tests are more accurate) they have realized that the results from one test to the other mean squat when I can show results from testmy.net going back shoot what 7 years now 7 years and 3 months lol when I have that kind of data to compare when I had speed increases, they had hardware issues or network issues they really have no legitimate reason to argue what test I use. when I show last month all test results average say 80 Mbps download and now I get 25Mbps download there is a issue even if their lame tests show me getting 100 Mbps which so funny that those same tests show a 180Mbps download speed when my speed tier is capped at 150Mbps I know them enough to know they will not give away an extra Mbps nor even cover the 10-20% loss to make end user actual speed match speed tier. They could actually cap speed at say 180 Mbps then at testing computer would actual be receiving that 150 Mbps or cap whatever tier 20% higher then advertised. (now I am just tossing #'s and percentage I do not know for fact these are 100% accurate just to be used as examples) I have seen upload speed drop so much it hinders download harshly. I wonder why when Xfinity upgraded download speed from 50-100-150 Mbps they never really did squat with upload. it has stayed around 10 Mbps for eons. I did hear it was due to adding 4 more channels to upload would put them in the 88Mhz range which has huge amount of noise etc. due to radio. For instance on my new gateway I have 16 Channels for downstream but only 4 for upstream while the gateway is capable of 24 channels down and 8 up. -
Well I think I found why my test results seem to be Sucking Huge.. I was watching my wireless connection and noticed when running a test my wireless connection speed drops from anywhere from 300-240 Mbps down to around 100-120 Mbps SO I assume if my wireless connection speed is at 100Mbps no matter what my speed tier I have from the ISP there is no way I can expect to get results above 90% of what my Wireless speed is. That would explain I assume why even though my speed tier is 150Mbps I am getting results around 70Mbps etc.

Xfinity speed rollercoaster
spudler_t replied to spudler_t's topic in XFINITY (Comcast Cable Communications)
Thanks, As far as best linear tests I think it has improved but it is so inconsistent it 's ridiculous. I have tries the Mercury which most times seems pretty good, multithread which seems to act as spastic as linear I may do that go get a different modem to see what may be going on. Oh one thing I did forget (if It could possibly have impact) December we received like 17" rain about 4X our average with a crap load coming down on a couple specific days my line is underground and they put a black splice thingy in the line about 2 feet from house which makes 3/4 of this splice box underground where water just happens to pool up I think I may go look at the main connection box which is only about 20 feet from house and make sure nothing in there is funky. The cable connection box has been left unlockable since 2002 when I moved in here and they seem to careless if it is secure or not funny the green tube cover just gets pushed into ground there is actually nothing they could lock it down with anyway inner metal plate and brackets are no where to be found just the block the cables split off from lol -

well the Cisco CP 3939 I believe, they call it I know 3939 it is the Gateway allows use of Phone and Internet along with the MOCA I think they actually have a Gateway 3 (oh ya the cisco was called Gateway 2) I am not sure what the newer one is or how much better it is just remembered that when you asked about the modem I am using -
So where should I now post to complain, get ideas as to WTF is up with my speeds lately? I am all over the place, supposedly xfincrudty (aka (crapcast) upgraded my speed from 105 to 150 but I cannot get that speed nor do I think 20% and to make matters wors I jump from say 80 to 50 to possibly 120 then back to 50. I seem to do better with the multi thread or mercury tests then linear. I have tried all I can think of changing you name it in the TCP Optimizer. I even broke out the old Ethernet cable and strung it to hardwired me into the gateway and still Amazingly fast and consistently non repeatable speed results I am even up at 3 AM PST to see if my neighbors could be the issue. Next I was thinking about disconnecting all the other cables from node and see if I alone connected has any bearing on my speeds?? Or is that illegal to disconnect them for a few min to test?? I mean who is up at 3 AM besides me anyway right?
