im using a linksys wrt54g
I ran a trace route today, and for somereason it takes forever to compleat 10min +, its not my computer because it does it on all computers here, even a laptop that i brought home from work it does it on, im stumped and i cant figure it out, does anyone got any ideas why this happens, or how to fix it.
that speed test was pertty low for 8mb. try this test http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?step1_timed=&step1_size=&step1_validation=&testall=&s=5983&st=st&ni=ni&ta=&top=&tt=1&nobar=
you should be able to get over 4.5mbps with out a problem, and you are on a 5983kb file but not on a larger one. clear your cache and try this one http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?step1_timed=&step1_size=&step1_validation=&testall=&s=5983&st=st&ni=ni&ta=&top=&tt=1&nobar= then clear your cache and try this one http://www.testmy.net/tools/test/d_load.php?step1_timed=&step1_size=&step1_validation=&testall=&s=12160&st=st&ni=ni&ta=&top=&tt=1&nobar=
318is welcome to the forum, who is your ISP, other then aol,
those speeds arent your actually speeds, aol does local caching so it looks faster, try testing in internet explorer.
