fastbreaker thats actually really good, its higher then your modem would synk at. Normally for utlra it cant go faster hten 1496kbps. do you know what speed your modem is synked at?

philp what kinda of insprion do you have, i remember my dell insprion had the same problem at one time and all i had to do was download a updated driver for the keyboard.

cholla ive tried so many setting for TcpRecvSegmentSize & TcpSendSegmentSize and 1440 gives me the best result. I havent seen anyone on here or DSL reports get faster with the same bellsouth connection.

oh its a laptop, that changes everything, make sure its pluged in when you go into the bios to check the speed. Its going to slow it down because the battery alone doesnt have enough power to allow it to go at full speed.

Its not hard at all, anyone can do it, there should be just 4 wires at max. from what ive tried, anything that you stick on to the side of your case to lower the noise, just creates more heat. rubber gaskets are really the only thing that work.

they are 12v because your power supply outputs 12v, you can get special fans that have more volts and there own transformer.

MttFrong13 im 99% sure i know what the problem is, go in your modems control panel, i think its under the second drop down tab, look for connection settings,(i think thats what it is called) there will be a thing called data path somewere in there, it will eather say interleaved or fast. if your on interleaved it will make your pings really high, and online gaming will be crap, you have to call them and have them change you to fast path. you pings will go from 150ms to 50ms

i had that happen with fedex, when they brought me my phone. they must be because here anyting of defent value they wont leave, and im in a gated community thats very safe.

the DGL-3420 is another good one, but i would go with the buffalo

what # did you move the slider to? if you didnt change it move it to 8000kbps
