  1. No, its actually using the same exact providers as it was before, and uses the exact same network. The difference is its now in Houston instead of dallas. Its almost a mirrored DC as the one in dallas. The only reason its slower is because Houston is just not as good when it comes to tellicommunications, plus it seems the planet is sticking all there new customers/servers there so its getting over used.
  2. Its the same as it was, just the server is now in huston.
  3. This is total BS. Buying pirated CD's is not going to lead you to a grow house. These people are so stupid, and they have no idea what they are talking about. And that will be the death of them. They are not giving the money own for the artists too the artists, and they are starting to fight back. Your going to see alot more of them saying pay what you want for it.
  4. So far i'm really happy with them. Ive been with them for a little over a year now. And haven't had a single problem. Ive only called them once, and that was too setup the account. I was even suppose to get locked into a 2 year contract when i got my iPhone, but i'm not LOL.. And the service is great, I wish edge was faster but I don't use it that much, i'm always near a wifi point most of the time.
  5. Who thought that up? only 400kbps is acceptable on a 8mbps line. If i'm paying for 8mbps I better be getting atleast 7500kbps
  6. As far as I know, No they are not right now. It was suppose to happen along time ago. You would be using EDGE for data and it would be just way to slow to send anything with video. AT&T's edge is slow, but half way usable, I get around 250 - 320kbps download on my iPhone.
  7. You can do that here, You just have to have the right phone, and be on sprint or verizon. We tho are not big on video calling here, thats why it hasen't taken off. AT&T is pretty late too the 3G party, and the odd thing is they are already planning to start rolling out 4G by the end of the year when they haven't even finished with 3G
  8. I don't use outlook so im just guessing here, but isnt there a import/export option under the file menu?
  9. apparently some people do.
  10. No it doesn't because companies like adobe, autodesk, etc. go, Ok we are going to have X number of pirated copy's don't put those the expected revenue. If they never expected to get the revenue then its not a loss in profit.
  11. That would not be true. Photoshop is one of the most pirated peaces software, and it has actually gotten cheaper in recent years. Final Cut is the the most pirated software for the mac, and it use to cost around $2000, its only about $1300 for the newest version now. People stealing software especially pro apps does not eat into there profits at all, because the pro's still buy it, they have too.
  12. That will cause a problem when he puts the drive back in the DVR.
  13. thats because fat32 will only do up to 32GB partition size. You shouldn't use the fat system anyway, its very old and out dated not to mention slow. Go with NTFS.
  14. Thats a lightweight. He won't buy that one for ya. Hes gonna buy you this real one http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00916781000P?vName=Automotive&cName=Tools&Equipment&sName=Air%20Compressors%20&%20Inflators&psid=YAHOOSHOP01&sid=IDx20070921x00003b
  15. Ah, get a nice craftsman 20 - 80 gallon one with a 5 horse motor and your good to go...
  16. Actually compressors aren't that expensive, they are good for so many things. and you don't have to worry about a liquid that could destroy what your working on.
  17. Sprint EVDO is good, but if it is in your city go AT&T HSPA, I just set it up for a friend of mine on his notebook, and I was getting about 1 - 1.3mbps download and around 700kbps upload. Pings were half way decent too 80 on the low end 160 on the high end. With clever routing you could play your xbox 360 on that.
  18. just switch to opendns, its better, never goes down, and will speed up your browsing. http://opendns.org/
  19. thats pretty cool.
  20. If you are having DNS problems, switch to opendns.
  21. hes got something, but its not spunk trust me...
  22. take a ethernet cable and plug it into your notebook, then go into network connections, select the two cards, the right click on them and click "bridge connection"
  23. If it goes over 170f you might have a problem. Video cards can run extremely hot, and still work just fine. If you think its getting too hot, try and get another fan to blow air on it. Also make sure that no other cards next too it, could be blocking the air flow.
  24. I thought midol was for a women problem, not a headache....... Sure you can fix it, Just take it your right hand and throw it against the wall as hard as you can, the more parts you get in the end the better the job you did of fixing it. Then after you do that, take it back to the store and tell the dude there "I think its broken" If that doesn't work go to your mom, and throw a hissy fit till she gives in.... And if you still have trouble, well then your fucked... you might as well just pull out your credit cards...
