XP SP3 beta is final version ready. I haven't had a single problem with it nor have I seen anyone have a problem with it. I haven't really seen anything different with it becides the small performance boost that it gave.

I'm hoping for the macbook air, or a desktop for around a 1000 bucks at macworld. But we will find out tomorrow.

One long beep is not a bios code. Bios codes are short and more then one. Also the computer wont function when there is bios codes. This is something else. Make sure everything is configured in the bios correctly. and everything is plugged in correctly.

Its a good case, But there is too much plastic on it. I really want/need Aluminum. For looks, and cooling. Because then I can cool the CPU independently from everything else in the case. Have you ever noticed that Most High end Computers have the CPU at the bottom of the case. The G5 did it first so you create thermal zones and always use fresh air to cool everything. It also makes the computer much more quite. You can run the fans at much lower RPM's

The motherboard needs too be inverted So the Processor is at the bottom. You never see any of the external drives with my setup. They are all mounted on the back of my desk on a rubber pad so they don't make noise. I only need one optical drive bay, and 2 hard drive. I like a case with 3 hard drive bays so I can space them out for better cooling.

Well I would like to have none, And just cut a slot for a slot load DVD burner. I hate having even the 3 that are on that case I only need 1 if that. And its really just too load my OS. All of my programs are on a external drive. I want a case that is super clean looking that doesn't make alot of noise while keeping the stuff inside cool.

as for the myspace thing clear your cookies for myspace. for the computer name, go to system pref. then network, select your adapter and click advanced. then go to wins. and change the name and workgroup.

So i'm getting ready to build a new computer. And I'm looking for a really good case. I don't want it too be one of these crazy looking cases, Those things are extremely ugly in my book. I want something really clean looking. My Case Requirements: Must be made out of Aluminum. If its steal and just about everything else below matches thats ok. But I would prefer Aluminum. Inverted Motherboard. I want the Motherboard to be upside down so the CPU is at the bottom with a front bottom 120mm, and a rear 120mm fan. This is so I can cool the CPU independently from everything else. while at the same time keeping the noise level down. I don't want to hear this thing at all. I would Like it to be silver, but black is ok. No Frills is a Plus. I don't want this crap all over the place on it that kills its look. No window, or light. You need one hell of a system to play blu-ray right. You need a fast CPU, a good amount of ram (like 2GB) the drive it self, and a dedicated video card a onboard one just doesn't cut it, 2400xt is the minimum for ATI, 8500GT is for nvidia you need a card with HDCP, on and you need vista. Also don't waste your time unless you have a monitor that is 1080p (24" or higher) If you have like a 19" at 1440x900 stick with DVD's.

It will be dirt cheap in a few years because the next QuadHD (2160p) stuff will be coming out. We are already getting close on the PC side with the 30in 4MP displays. Sony is going to now release a $200 blu-ray drive for PC's so by the end of this year it will all probably be around a $100 bucks if not less.

The belkin routers are just about the best ones you can get. They often score higher then everyone else. You just have to lean to do the initial setup with the CD not on your own.

go to http://192.168.2.1 and see if the router is connected to the internet first. in the upper right courner it will say if its connected or not.

Yo bro are you sure those are 120mm fans? If I remember they are 90mm, that is the same case that my dell precision at work uses and it has 2 90mm fans. You have one blowing in and one blowing out, they should both be blowing out the 26" LCD TV for a monitor is real nice and all, but the res. is kinda low for that size computer monitor. And if you decide to swap your 50" plasma don't get a LCD that big They get really bad in that size. 42" is usually the cut off for when you would go for a plasma.
