It depends where I am. at home, i prefer glossy, And for most things glossy is better because colors look better At work i prefer matte because i don't want all of the overhead lights reflecting on my screen.

it sounds like a bad power supply but could be something wrong with windows registry You may want to get your windows disk and run the windows repair just to see if that fixes it.
-
adding a router will make no difference.
-
Nope. Your case is most likely a custom form factor and won't fit a standard motherboard. So that is out.
-
most likely it will not work

Very nice Christmas present did you get the matt or glossy screen?
-
Get some ram. at least go to 512mb, if not 1gb
-
both of these are good http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/inspnnb?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs http://www.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/vostronb?c=us&cs=04&l=en&s=bsd Try to avoid vista as well. Both of those can come with XP

no your right, thats just a waste of money to get one for a page file. I have a 147GB one in the computer that i use for rendering at work and the thing is so loud it makes me not want to use it.
-
does she have a problem getting pictures from anyone else?
-
No it won't improve performance if you have another 7200rpm drive. If you had a 15,000rpm scis drive you might notice a difference when your using alot of your page file. If you have 2GB or more ram your really not using your page file very much.
-
Where did you read that at? it doesn't really matter where your page file is as long as there is enough space. The only reason people move the page file to another drive is because they think it will make things load faster but it really doesn't. especially when you move it from 1 7200rpm drive to another 7200rpm drive. Moving it can also cause more problems.
-
How did you do the updates? The best way is with yum update or up2date in the terminal. To fix it, the easiest would be to just reinstall.
-
Give parallels workstation a try, you could run it just as fast as if you were dual booting, if your processor as virtualization

KDE is much better the gnome. gnome is a bad half assed copy of OS X. KDE 4.0 looks really nice. What did you think of ubuntu? I really hate it, its just such garbage. I love SUSE but would never put it on for a webserver ill leave that to rhel.

The problem: YouTube. Some times its just going to be slow depending on how many people are on the server you are going too. Clear your cache and cookies, and try a different browser see if that helps.

Video Capture program that utilizes Quad Core
dlewis23 replied to porsche6714's topic in General Discussion
for capture it doesn't, for encoding the video any program that is a name brand, like adobe premier, or quicktime will use all cores. Most of the free or cheap programs wont be threaded so they don't use all of the cores.
