  18. I have a question regarding the two. Those that have FiOS obviously have a choice between FiOS and another competitor, so when neither was available in any specific area, which company was the first to make it (FiOS or Extreme) available? See neither one is available here in Bflo.N.Y. and I am curious which company will break ground first. So far my impression is that once Verizon's FiOS becomes available in one area Adelphia is not far behind with Extreme. Be nice if Adelphia's Extreme became available in places before Verizon's FiOS. Thanks TheHalf

  20. If you are refering to using the run command from Windows to reformat a drive partition, better to use the management tool this way. Right click My Computer icon->click on manage->then in the left pane, click on disk management. There you can delete a partition, reformat, set allocation size, but you can't do it on the drive your booted in. There you need to shut down Windows and use the utilities from the XP Installation CD. TheHalf

  24. The fastest way. If you have an old Win98 startup disk, just use that floppy to delete the current partition. Insert the XP installation upon reboot and XP will create a new partition and reformat as FAT32 or NTFS. TheHalf
  25. Right click My Computer icon->click on properties->click on advanced->click on settings (Start Up & Recovery)->under system startup, click on edit. Now notepad opens and here you want to delete (Under Operating Systems) XP Home. But to be sure, copy and paste and show here. I'll show you exactly what to delete. Then you would click Save As.
