  1. now, are your phones hooked into the jacks, is the rest of the network just as it was before we started this journey? If so, we need to access the first router by IP address, I know we did this before, do you remember the IP address? At this point, it should be 192.168.15.1 or 192.168.1.1.
  2. You had it tagged until the end : ) Take a cable from the first router ( port whatever , or could be open with out unhooking the second router), into the first voip router ( into the internet port blue), then a cable from the first voip router ( port yellow ) into the second voip router ( internet port blue )
  3. Nothing has priority unless otherwise set in the router itself.
  4. See, we weren't to that point of hooking things up the way they were, the whole point here is to re configure the network so the voip routers are sprouted off the first router, after the modem, then set the port on the first router that the voip routers are connected to to give them QOS over the rest of the network so you have better sound quality. So, whatever way you can, in the most simple terms, explain to me how your network is hooked up. First you have the modem, ...............Please take it from there.
  5. ok, the " voip cable" you refer to, should be dangling free right now , correct?
  6. How we doin?
  7. right, we have to complete the network first. You have an open port ( connection ) on the first router, no matter the number, just note it, connect the first router to this port via cat5, make sure you put the cat5 into the " internet " port on the voip router.
  8. Your not going to have phone service until we are finished.
  9. You have an open port ( connection ) on the first router, no matter the number, just note it, connect the first router to this port via cat5, make sure you put the cat5 into the " internet " port on the voip router. What do you mean " hit" ?
  10. For now, make sure that where you , if you, disconnected the cat5 from the machine, that it is plugged back in, so the network should be complete other than the voip routers. Make sure you can get online. W/ the original computer you were posting from, if your not now .lol
  11. I have however heard of people being turned away for treatment, but never a life threatening one, there are stories, but i don't buy it!
  12. ok, are you ready to connect them to the network?
  13. It will be, until you have it connected to the network later. It will snatch all the info it needs from the DHCP server in the enabled router , at the beginning of the network. Now do the same thing with the other router. : )
  14. oh, i'll missis, I keep it in my ........well you get the pic ( i don't need a sock in my pant's lest put it that way )
  15. YEP
  16. ok , click the "server and relay off "button. we may need to set one router differently than the other.
  17. Yes, you need to turn off the DHCP server. Go into the " LAN " tab , right under the " WAN " tab, don't bother w/ any of the rest of the settings, just tick the " enable DHCP Server " radio button so it does not have a dot in it.
  18. Not yet, go ahead and set the username , and password, some of them allow just the password, and no need for the username. Do this, write them down before you save, you will be using them on the other router as well. then save.
  19. Great, now got the " setup " tab , then to the " WAN configuration " tab , when your there at the top it will say " Type " you have DSL if I remember, so you'll need that set to " PPPoE "
  20. ok , so your into one of the routers right?
  21. okay
  22. ok listen , there will be a cat5 cable comming out of the back of your computer, this is going to the last router if I remember from last week, either way, leave this plugged into the back of the computer, follow it until it connects to whatever it connects to, then disconnect it from whatever it is connected to, leaving it plugged into the back of your machine, plug the other end into the voip router, and click the link that says 192.168.15.1 , and you'll be in the voip router.
  23. no You just plug the cat5 cable into the machine itself. Then to the router.
  24. Undoubtedly , wish it were me , but I'll keep my 30 mill in w/ the other 30 mill, ........just for safe keepin
