I've been reading all the tutorials here about boosting smartbro internet connection and made it to the point of having the luck to have access to my canopy page. The problem I'm facing now is that I can't save the changes I made from the configuration tab, specifically from the QoS. Whenever I save and boot, It still goes back to the original settings. My Sustained Uplink date Rate: 3500 wherein the max range is 0--7000, same thing with the Downlink date Rate. Somehow I want to change it to 5000, but whenever I save, it still reverts back to 3500.. Please I need your help regarding these. Thanks in advance

Not being a smartbro customer, or ever having been, I do have a basic understanding of the system, and simply changing the software will not increase the bandwidth, this is allocated through the ISP ie: smartbro. It may however increase stability, and overall performance. 512 seems to be the average SB download speed, if your achieving this, then your doing pretty good comparatively.

This is my very slow speed. When i use this QuickSolution of SmartBro and tested my connection. It says: It seems that you have more than one Local Area Connection enabled. Please disable other Local Area Connections, Dial-Up Connections, Wireless Connections and try again. Instructions: Press START on your desktop. Choose CONTROL PANEL from the list of menu. Choose NETWORK CONNECTIONS Right click the other enabled Local Area Connection and select Disable I check all NETWORK CONNECTIONS but there is no other connection. Can someone help me here?

The smartbro line is plugged into my computer directly, google takes just a few seconds to load... When it is plugged into my router, google takes a significantly longer time to load... Anybody have any idea what could cause this?

This isn't mine. It's Topherz Recently I accidentally enabled the DHCP of my Smartbro Canopy. After that I can't access my canopys configuration page. I tried to reset it using the override plug but I don't know where to buy the 6 pin rj 11plug, so what i did is I reseted it using my router. Here's how! * Remove all the LAN connections on your router including the WAN port, except the connection of your computer to your router. Only your computer is connected to your router. * Connect Smartbro Canopy to LAN port of your router beside the connection of your computer. Example: ( computer on LAN 1, canopy on LAN 2 ) * On your computer open your command prompt, type ipconfig/all, check the IP address. Example:( 192.168.2.100 ) * This is now the IP address of your canopy 192.168.2.101(if your routers IP address is 192.168.2.100, just add 1 to the last number) * Open now your canopys configuration page using this IP address which is 192.168.2.101. You can now change the DHCP settings of your Smartbro Canopy to disabled. * After you disabled the DHCP of Smartbro Canopy, the IP address is now back to normal e.g,( 169.254.1.1 ) ____________- what i did is.. I connected my Smart Bro Canopy to the Lan Port including my lan connection.. both of them are connected to my lan ports.. After that i tried to acces my canopy and it works. Welcome to testmy.net jpblitz21, glad you joined. I'm not a smart bro user, but I do read all the posts concerning smartbro and jump in when I can. Keeping this in mind, the speed (427 kbps ) would be the same thing the better part of smartbro users get, now the consistant lower speed would signify when the tower you are aimed at is experiencing heavy useage, so there wouldn't be anything that can be done. What the canopy does in heavy usage ties, is allocate the available bandwidth total, divided by the users. This way , everyone gets online, at least a little a bit. I do have to say though, when I started out using the internet, I never got over say 20-60 kbps. No one did. The reason you cannot access your canopy is because they soon realized that by changing the color code , you were in essence "cheating" the other users out of bandwidth, thats where they got in trouble. So they blocked it from access. Some people still seem to get in, and I have read that when they do, and when smartbro discovers this, they will either be shut off, and or allocated a smaller bandwidth allowability. If you have already done some of the registry tweaks you have found, then this may be all that can be done. But since your familiar, you could always experiment with the figures yourself, there is always room for improvement, but keep in mind, that with all the users accessing the canopy , there generally going to get the same thing you are during peak usage times. Although this isn't always true, I believe the acceptions are simple flaws within the canopy configuration itself.

hi i am an old smartbro user but new in this community,, i would like to ask you guyz if you got any idea on how can i make my internet speed more faster? i already try many guides in here but i think it didn't work even just one. i also tried accessing my canopy but i am not able to do so.. i think my canopy is blocked? is there any other way to access my canopy except this step setting (setting ip address to 169.254.3.3 and subNet to 255.255.0.0) for me to be able to access my canopy? if i really need some updates on it.. during this time (1:00AM - 10:00AM) philippine time that only the time i get the best on my internet speed... after 10:00AM my speed will eventually slows down to much its like slowing down up to 110Kbps but out are was already upgraded up to 512 or 1MB if im not mistaken just their agent told me... actually this is already my second account.. the same problem i got from the old one also the in this new account... can any help me??? thnx if someone will do..

aw coolbuster, when i downloaded ur ccs cleaner from ur 20 steps to speedup smartbro. the result i cant play any java games in my web browser is ccs cleaner delete some data in my computer? how can i get it back please help me!!!!

if this thread is still active , can anyone help me regarding this situation. im kinda confused at the moment. i play worlds of warcraft online game and i need stable connection. im living in malaybalay city and only 3 isp company such as philcom, sotelco and smartbro available . i was a philcom user for 3 mos and cancel the subscription because their connection is really bad, i get disconnected a lot every 30mins. sotelco is expensive for a plan 256Kbps, you need to pay almost 3k including installation and you have no assurance of the given plan if the speed is accurate and fix. i just wanna know if the tweaking of smart bro still work. i had installed it yesterday ( march 30. 2009) . i had the same configuration shown in the picture above. sustained data rate of 7000Kbps , is this the normal configuration?

that my friend i think is the old type of antenna smartbro used to use*redundant LOL*. it has 7mbps aggregate. unfortunately, mine is also capped to 1mbps aggregate. *sigh* am i right?

woah! last post was oct. 25 and nobody answered your question? well one trick that worked for me is try disabling > enabling your smartbro connection. through that, your ip changes and if you're lucky, you might even be able to download from rs. correct me if i'm wrong though.

Is there a way for us smartbro users to open up a port? Better question: How do I access the smartbro router (the one they're using to give us the 192.168.xxx.xxx ip which results in some of us having the same external ip address, frustrating for a downloader) in order to open the port myself?

hi, i new here but an old smartbro user, im a smartbro user since 2006, i was having difficulty before, but it all changed when my connection boosted from 350+kbps to a 1403kps, without me doing anything, and im only paying the same monthly charge, i dont know what happened, probably i got it as a reward, i dont know, but it sure made downloading anything uper fast
